The only thing I don't get is why the durians fruits are so expensive The fruit grows in the country and harvesting within the country the prices are too high for the Thai consumers.

I think its the amount of resources required. I read up that it takes 10 years for a durian tree to produce fruits. Not sure if that is one of the reasons behind the cost though.

Really good durians are not plucked, they fall by themselves when fully ripe and in best quality. People who do not know find Thai durian tasty but when they try Malaysian durians they never eat Thai again

Why not drop all first anyway and stand far and like a clipper 4 splits to drag/pull, naturally they just drop without opening on impact anyway? Like that may hit legs just suggesting.

Collecting semi ripe durian. These durian don't taste like durian should taste just sweet and lack the aroma of the ripe fruit. Go to Malaysia to taste what a good grade durian taste like.

Yes. That is why Thailand can send Durian to China and can sell on shelves for more than 7 days. If we harvest at full ripen, we can't send our product to China at the best quality.

ถ้ากินที่สวนคุณสามารถเลือกทุเรียนที่สุกคาต้นได้ แต่กรณีส่งออกจะเก็บทุเรียนที่ห่ามหน่อยจากต้นทางพอไปถึงปลายทางสุกพอดี อีกอย่างคนไทยส่วนมากชอบทานแบบกรอบนอกนุ่มใน หรือแล้วแต่คนชอบบางคนอาจชอบแบบสุกคาต้นขึ้นอยู่กับความชอบของแต่ละบุคคล

Thailand they dont know how to eat Durian 😂😂 is unripe mangoes better than ripe mangoes ?? Of course ripe mangoes are tastier and better quality.. Same as like Durian, fully ripe durian is more tastier and better quality than unripe Durian.. but they still said Thai Durian is better, lol so funny 😂😂
