16:43 No you didn't pay premium for the durian - in fact at RM 35 per kilo was very reasonable, usually above RM 40 per kilo. And unlike some Asian countries, Malaysian shopkeepers and vendors are colour blind when charging customers.

Everyone must take note durian in Malaysia is not same with oth countried like Vietnam/ Thailand or China. Malaysia durian the fruits drop automatic from the tree once its totally matured ..but from other countries the farmer take/ harvest the durian from the tree..

35/ kg is super cheap especially this season. Maybe she gave you special price. For us local maybe higher considering its not durian season yet

RM35/kg for musang king is pretty cheap, usually around RM50/kg.

9:38 RM 35 per kg for Musang King durian - that's very reasonable. Usually above RM 40 per kilo.

The durian is very cheap rm35/kg for Musang King, don't think the lady cheating you coz other places I see Musang King rm50 and above per kg.

Musang king has its own grading. The Rm35 might be the "B " grade musang King. Edit : and also depends from which are the durian came from. Musang King from Gua Musang Kelantan the so called spiritual home of Musang King might cost more say from Pahang or Perak.

It is soooooo yummy. I miss it. RM 25 or 35 per kg is very cheap. 2 years ago when I got back, it was very very expensive. It cost about rm 125 for one of the similar size. Now China allows imports of fresh ones from Malaysia, I think prices will hike. Bad news for us durian lovers.

The Musang King is cheap because it's not the wonderful Musang King from Bentong or Raub. You can really taste the difference. It's like two totally different types.

Singapore's stock of durian came from malaysia. There is no such thing as "singapore durian". So they get cheap from malaysia, sell high in singapore.

July prices are better because peak season of durian. Starting and ending season is expensive.

The price is higher at the start of the durian season. This year Musang King’s quality is not as good. Kampung durian is better.
