Very nice video! Tire Pressure is critical, and also we should not confuse winter tires with offroad tires. Most Winter tires are built to keep traction on asphalt with the standard tire pressure (the compound is softer and does not freeze at 0 degrees). But are not designed to work at low psi. In this kind of conditions, you will need at least AT tires (preferably with snow peak rated) and 10-15 psi as a starting point in this condition. Congrats again for the courage to explore!

When going backdown instead of using the brakes and the wheels locked as you have no control. Use reverse gear and let the engine breaking slow you down. Youu have some control over the vehicle then. Works better with low range but will still work in a vehicle like this rather than locked up wheels. Great video and i love your duster!!

Thank you for showing what can be achieved even with ice layer beneath the snow! Just bought ours (for a family car) specially for going to our village to which we have to ascend 520m for just 7 km of distance :)

Try to lower tire pressure next time you want to climb an icy slope, or use tire chains or tire textile.

It's fun to "Duster around" at winter, my 4x4 from 2014 with new winter spike 215/65 has beaten most wood roads 😅

@@heissulivei7212 It's not about LOCK mode but about lock option of rear diff. Stock Duster doesn't have it.

Why not LOCK? Only automatic 4wd... My dyster is 4wd LOCK here Finland.

I had the 2010 version and the difference between the auto and lock mode is that auto is a 4wd split 100front and 0 back, when it detected slipping it shift 40 front and 60 back i believe. While lock mode keeps the power fixed 40/60 at all time, sadly duster never got locking diffs.

Te urmăresc de ceva timp (ocazional) dar sincer la faza care ai lăsat-o să coboare cu rotile blocate în spate nu a fost o alegere corectă pentru un șofer cu o anumită experiență

No low gear your tyre will slipp an you will have no controll over the car (4:50 / 7:20) !!! In other situation you may fall over the edge and you car will hardly stuck in a ditch or fall down a hill. A daca 4x4 is not the same as a 4WD offroder with low gear.

Veliki problem ovaj sneg gledam ovog vozaca sta radi ovom autu prvo ako hoces da izides u snegu trba da znas da vozis bez ljutnje vidi se cim ti auto state ti ko neka string stisnes kocnicu I letis nazad mesto odma da prebacis u rivers I auto ce sam da se stabilizira I uravnotezi da mozes na leru polako ga spustiti nazad a ti kocis I letis da ti je provalija tu ti bi upao najbolje je popustiti gume jer onda bolje auto Priyanka za sneg to je dobro I za led dobro naduvana guma nije u klizavom dobra

You don't have enough power, you don't have capable differentials, you don't have the right tires (not all winter tires are suitable for all types of snow). The result is reasonable.

Să încerci să urci cu spatele, ai aderență mult mai mare, se lasă mult mai multă greutate pe roțile din față, pentru că e motorul greu.....

Eu am un golf 4 și trage doar fața, am văzut și eu la un vecin cum urca cu un Opel astra vechi cu spatele pe un deal mare...., și tot timpul o întorc și eu cu spatele și urc la sigur....
