In fairness, he's a big part of UFC's rise to global powerhouse. The Mayweather fight brought a LOT of eyeballs over to UFC. So it's not right to dismiss Conor as a fraud and irrelevant guy. He just turned too far into heel jackass.
@sandoumir43482 жыл бұрын
@@RavishingBeyond In fairness, he was just the subject in the very calculated PR machine, not the driving force behind it, in any way, shape or form. He just played the part really well, probably because it wasn't such a stretch to behave like a complete genital.
@RavishingBeyond2 жыл бұрын
@@sandoumir4348 You're completely wrong. Dana and the supposed "creative team" you suggest couldn't have scripted this shit. If there was such a team and they could script it, UFC would have been bigger years before. Chael Sonnen should have moved the needle way more, as an example. There is no PR machine calling the shots. If anything, Dana is highly reactionary to Conor's moves. "Oh, you want a charity fight with Dustin? Here's a contract to move it to the Octagon." "Oh you want a 4th fight because of the way this one ended? Sure, sounds good." So yeah, while Dana absolutely has a heavy hand in fighter matchups, locations, and salaries for the most part, he isn't scripting heel/ good guy roles, content, etc. Usman would damn sure have his own material instead of copying all Conor's shit, it that was the case.
