Some singers are technically wonderful but lack an emotional connection to the material. Some singers miss notes here and there but sell the performance with their interpretation of the lyrics. Dusty had it all- flawless vocals and a great storyteller. She truly was one of a kind. Performers nowadays should study tapes like this as a master class on how to simply stand on a bare stage and deliver it.

It was totally unannounced and completely wonderful. I remember after we left the club we went to Denny's and she asked for a cuppa tea (it was IRIS tea).
