This entire DVD was compiled from old VHS master tapes. Filming took place at Frome and at Westbury station
Back in the Summer / Autumn of 1990 ( pre privatisation day`s ) i visited Westbury Station and at that time the station still had a diesel MPD where many class 33s - 56s - 47s and sometime`s you could still find the odd class 37s in day to day use.
Today however all those locomotives and the MPD have gone, not sure if any of the locomotives seen in this video have been preserved or like so much of the old railway has gone for scrap.
Lookout for the scene where a class 33 is getting a right old thrashing trying to move a rake of full stone hopper wagons back into a siding, there`s also a scene of a class 50 no 015 then demoted from mainline passenger work and onto p/w duties.
