Probably because the spider emblem on his chest (in this case, to the sequels of the movie) is very similar to the spider emblem on the back of 2002

Yeah the 2004 one is kinda creepy looking in my opinion the 2002 one looks very heroic

This has always been my favorite version of the Raimi Spider Suit. SM2/SM3 looks pretty good, but the 2002 version looks so much cooler because it gives me some strong and cool "Comic Book Accuracy" vides.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again… I really want Tobey’s first suit as DLC or in Spider Man 3. Probably called the “Original Webbed Suit” or “Throwback Suit”

To take it one step further, replace some of the sound effects from this game and putting in the ones from the movie video game (on PS2) would make it insanely retro.

Gotharust did an spectacular model for the 2002 suit, hopefully someday it'll get ported to Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC

Idk if it makes a difference but watching the behind the scenes stuff they mentioned how the suit in Spider-Man 2 was made using a cheaper process that wasn’t as good but it let them make more of them and was cheaper. I wonder if that adds to it.

Spider-Man always has to save the city regardless of whether he can't go on vacation And I think this costume is really cool Ever since I saw the first Spider-Man movie I was scaredMarve!
