Watched the whole series as a kid and a i absolutely loved it, but even with my nostalgic rose tinted glasses on i gotta say the show had a lot of problems, it seems like the writers don't even know who peter parker/spider-man is about most of the most of the time. this show took itself seriously thanks to Nicholas hammond who didn't want this to be more like the 66 batman show, he wanted the characters to be grounded, real, and relatable, the effects were great for the time. But man the only problem this show had was the writing, it felt like it was a cop/detective drama with a spider-man skin on it. Had the executives focused more on the source material this would've been remembered so fondly by spider-man fans.
