A screenplay that depended so heavily on sinister looks and darkened visuals is not likely to translate well to radio. Even so, this script has been chopped up so much that anyone who hasn't seen the movie will be clueless. Even Cary could not have saved it.

Cary Grant couldn’t save the movie, let alone the radio version. Ridiculous happy ending both in the film and on the radio, Johnny was supposed to be a real killer.
