lol at the Kerbal Space Program music. I was also adding a lot of soundtrack from other 2d roguelikes and wargames like Noita, Factorio, Caves of Qud, FTL, Tales of Maj'Eyal, Terraria, etc. Someone else I think was using Age of Empires. Lots of great music out there.

Maybe parley is a good idea... :)

You don't have to accept/deny the parley for a pretty long period of time. This gives you plenty of time to get your dwarves buttoned up inside and for you to release any trapped forgot beasts on the surface.
