I never watched one of these before... That's a cool fort. I'm going to go binge this now hahaha! Such a cool series, I really enjoy the creativity of everyone in this community and I don't feel so dumb for making mistakes. It seems even seasoned veterans can get small details less than 100% perfect. Plus for every tiny imperfection there's a million awesome ideas! This series was such a good idea 😊

That cavern lake shore is perfect for a subterranean dock for the fisherdwarves to do their thing.

Great advice. If any of my forts live long enough I'll post one for you, but we put the Dwarf in FUN over here.

That surface wall is also not a very effective defense at all. Anything with the ability to climb would immediately jump over that little thing, but that can be solved by making it a few z-levels higher and then giving it an outward facing overhang.

My layer was surrounded by magma! =)

Do people ever make two forts? does that work? One fort near outside for trading/trees/hunting and another fort deep underground for magma work and mining. I want to try it, but I am bit worried about dwarfs spending a lot of time going between them.
