It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. I love the lemon trees. For me who do not have a yard space and do container gardening on my roof top this would do well for me. The good thing is they are producing. Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey.🙏

Beautiful trees! Love the production!!!

You're too kind. The trees are a little ugly, but they somehow keep making nice looking lemons. This year they tasted pretty good, last year, not so much.

I have been watching quite a few tutorials on dwarf lemon trees. Most suggest transferring to new pots and adding fertilizer when leaves start to turn yellow. Imagine how much better they would be doing since they are already producing fruit. Just an idea, good luck with these trees. Maybe an update if it works. Thank you

Definitely need bigger pots.

If you are seeking them to grow larger, I wonder if you pruned the side growth and put its energy into a few of the upward branches you might get that (?)
@EastsideGardening2 жыл бұрын
That's definitely an idea to try. They might be on rootstock that is ultra-dwarfing, which might be wanting to keep them small, too. But to be honest, when I bring the fruit inside, they don't get consumed very quickly, so perhaps the current level of production is fine.

It's bc you kept them in the same pot.... I guarantee, if you replant then, with love, you'll see more lemons

I’ve been going through your videos one at a time. I’m just blown away by your setup and your citrus collection. You really deserve more subscribers and views than this. I would love to have a tour of your greenhouse and even your Wood Working Projects. I think it would be helpful for your viewers to understand how take care of these citrus trees…. Fertilizer schedule, insect control, watering, plotting mix, etc, Best wishes from your neighbour up north, Canada.

Thanks for watching, kind words, and all the good ideas for future videos. I'll put those on a note card to mention, in future videos. Are you in British Columbia?

Great output from your trees. They have a mild flavor for a lemon.
@EastsideGardening2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. These Meyer lemons have a very distinct flavor that I haven't tasted in other citrus. Yes, the lemon flavor is a part of it, but there's more complexity to it. What the extra flavor is exactly, I'm not sure; but perhaps it comes from some kind of wild or hardy type of citrus. Compared to the Eureka, these Meyers definitely have less acid, and probably a bit more sugar. My kid likes to eat them straight like he would eat a mandarin, or juice a whole fruit into his ice water.

They're starting to look better with new leaves and flowers since they've been in the greenhouse for a couple of months.

I’m glad they are not in a 1gal pot😅
@EastsideGardening23 күн бұрын
Haha, yeah. I got lots of comments about that. I just changed the potting mix as the root mass was small. If the roots start filling out the new pot, I'll move it up to a bigger one.

If they don't grow its because you have them in the same pot you get them for the last 3 yrs ! U suppose to plant them in the ground...or in a bigger pots! You need to learn

Thanks for watching my citrus videos. My citrus trees normally bloom shortly after they come inside for the winter, too. No bother, but taking care of your citrus trees is a bit of a broad topic. Was there any specific questions you had?
@aklimakhatun67732 жыл бұрын
@@EastsideGardening I was curious as to why I never got any fruit, even though it had many blossoms and it was outdoors with full sun in the summer time, I also added fertilizer. It is now winter the tree is inside and it has many blossoms. What can I do to help set fruit? Is there any specific fertilizer I can applie?? I hope you understand thanks again :)
@EastsideGardening2 жыл бұрын
@@aklimakhatun6773 Blossoms can fall off because they're not pollinated, or sometimes it can happen if the tree isn't getting hydrated enough during blossom and fruit setting. There's probably other factors that can affect it, but I don't think that problem would be related to fertilizer.

They do not grow because the pots are too small. Put in bigger pots, they grow a lot bigger than that.
