Some mentioned it earlier, but a couple missed rules. Elven Grace for striking first, but also the Ironbreakers have a base 2+ save. 4+ for heavy, 3+ for shield, 2+ for the Gromril Rule. Acts exactly the same as Chaos Armor rule for Warriors of Chaos. And yes, the unit couldn't charge because the sorceress failed her stupidity test. Still awesome fight though.

Hey, Steve, Luka, Cullen, and everyone over there. Just wanted to say thanks for always uploading these batreps. I got inspired by you guys to start my own Fantasy army what with Old World on the way (but I also have the WAP rules so we'll see what people in my area are playing) My Ogres thank you. :p

Those Executioners really missed having Hatred, an option would be a Disciple of Khaine. Reroll hit and wound, 5+ regen (4+ with Elven Grace). Always good to see 2 armies run straight at each other though, none of these cowardly "tactics".

It just makes sense for a dying race to try and save as many people as they can from death, less costly to lose iron balls than the ones that reproduce xD

Nice, just in time for dinner! What's really nice about WAP is imo that you can basically play all armies when you know the core rules. Only takes a small read. *Storage full of miniatures not included.

They ended up holding anyway but you guys forgot Elven Grace for a 6+ dodge on both of the initial Executioner combats.

Love the grind! Also it took me an embarassing long time realising you were saying "stare" and not "stair", I was wondering why that little stair on the front of the shrine were so deadly. lol

I am sure they will try old world. That being said, nothing GW produces will get close to the non commercial armies project quality or balance wise.

The Rune Lord's unit would have failed their break test. Whe they are stubborn and ignore Ld penalties for combst resolution even if disrupted, the shrine's Aura of Agony is a -1 penalty to their Ld stat, not a combat resolution penalty, so the runelord and unit were only Ld8.

You are incorrect, the -1ld affects stubborn in WaP

@@MountainMiniatures Isn't that what I said? I don't see where I'm incorrect unless there's errata somewhere? Stubborn means you're always steadfast. Steadfast means you use your own Ld while ignoring combat resolution modifiers. When taking the test, the dwarf unit had a Ld of 8 before combat resolution modifiers (9 base and a -1 stat penalty from the aura, which is a Ld modifier and not a combat resolution modifier). I'm not trying to be difficult, just trying to see what riuling I must have overlooked.

30:45 The shrine is even worse now...after it was part of the best deathstar unit in 8th,! Go figures... On that note, would Hellebron&SoSs beat Alarielle and a White Lions of Chrace horde?

For apellcasting the sorceress has +3 on all casting rolls, +2 for level and +1 for dark elf, so she wouldn't have needed those rerolls. (Comment edited to correct the level bonus)

You may be mixing up editions, a level 4 wizard only gets +2 to casting in WAP

idk when you recorded this but now the tricksters helm is for models on foot only. Also characters always go in the first rank, displacing even the command.

Hammers are just Pure shit now, with Gromril gone Dwarven Elit Units are just to weak in comparison with other Elit Units but still cost way to much. Nice Game though.

Spoilers: Luka lost this game in the deployment phase. Flanking units were too far out of position to affect the game.

At 28:41 Luka Forgets the outnumber. He should have sent the elves fleeing and could have charged the sorceress unit in the flank at the start of his next turn. So the game was stolen by DE, typical

Good thing we were also wrong to forget the generals Inspiring presence from the sorceress. She's broadcasts her buffed LD9->10 from the shrine, and the executioners were in fact LD10, -5 including the missed outnumber, and they still passed their check. Phew!
