Rip Dwayne Haskins 🙏 prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace brother. A standout at Ohio State before struggling to catch on with Washington and Pittsburgh in the NFL, died this morning (Saturday, April 9th 2022) when he got hit by a car in South Florida, per his agent Cedric Saunders. Haskins would have turned 25 years old on May 3.

Watch his head, All but two passes were his first read, even the one where he scrambled behind the line for a bit. He never had to learn to work progressions.
@jemeeladams11973 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I'm seeing to he sees 1 read can't make progressions which means he can't read defenses. It can be easy when your weapons are all 5 star or 4 star recruits and your o line is massive oh and look at some of the teams they face no competition
@gghostrrider3 жыл бұрын
I’m seeing a lot of open receivers, he’s going to see tougher coverage in Pitt. I’m not sure he can make the tough throws from watching this video
@sofiarune31243 жыл бұрын
I think your assessment of this player is very wrong. This kid will be playing in a similar offense he played at OHS. A spread offense with talent surrounding him at every position and an offensive scheme & line rooted in passing/pass protection. He will see alot of open receivers. Not too mention the steelers are possibly hiring SD OC Pep Hamilton who is a QB whisperer ala Andy Reid. This kid will be very successful next year and years to come.
@cal31BRIAN233 жыл бұрын
If they are open why would he go pass the first read ?
@MrRyan-wu4jx3 жыл бұрын
@@cal31BRIAN23 that’s not really my point. I’m not suggesting he should if he doesn’t need to, just that he was rarely challenged to do so in college and it made it a tough transition into the pros where he did need that ability.

@ajajala50813 жыл бұрын
There are lot of qbs who got better at going through progressions in the nfl , so stop saying rubbish . Josh allen and so many other were primarily one read guy and Josh was a terrible decision maker in wyoming . Qb development, consistency and maturity . They don't draft only based on your readiness to play in the nfl , they draft primarily on potential. Most college qbs coming out aren't ready to start in the nfl. Arod even after sitting for 3 years behind brett favre wasn't good his first season .
@TenaciousTheSketcher3 жыл бұрын
@@ajajala5081 Blah blah blah. I forgot the part where Josh Allen or Aaron Rodgers were caught maskless at a strip club when the focus should have been on getting in the playoffs. The biggest difference is the effort they put into the game and clearly Haskins hasn't been putting any in his play. Its not about Haskins not being good his first year, thats obvious. No one expects a rookie to play lights out thier first season you dingus. its he's not even trying to get better. He's choosing to fuck around with his boys rather than focus on being a professional athlete. Look at Johnny Manziel as another example. You can't change someone who clearly doesn't care about improving or helping the team. Haskins lacks all those intangible. So yeah, him being a one read QB in college worked but clearly he's not trying to go beyond that.
@ajajala50813 жыл бұрын
@@TenaciousTheSketcher His behavior has been terrible , he had a lot of potential and might have just destroyed his career before it started . His on and off the field struggles should not be an indictment on his amazing year at ohio state. There is a lot to love on the tape .

This guy makes NFL throws, the defender is right there on a lot of his throws, usually with highlights for these college QBs all you hear is 'WIDE OPEN' on every Touchdown, not as much with Haskins
@andreamaya67413 жыл бұрын
Still believe that?
@josj153 жыл бұрын
@@andreamaya6741 you and I know a lot of these daft picks outcomes depend on where theyre drafted - the coaching - the players or lack thereof on the team - ownership - Haskings got put in a bad situation from top to bottom - the redskins are a mess and have been for a long time - when the oline protects him he's not bad
@andreamaya67413 жыл бұрын
