DWC Multivan Windsurf Cup Hohenfelde 2020 Slalom Highlights | Andy Laufer POV and

3 жыл бұрынAfter 6 years of absence i finally competed in the highest ranked National Regatta Series, the "German Windsurf Cup". We had super nice conditions, winds offshore between 10 and 35 knots, more than 50 competitors and 4 full Slalom Eliminations. There are lots of young guns now on the tour, especially in foiling. Pretty cool for our sport as this is the future of Windsurfing.
Nice crash / whipeout right on the starting line of Nico Prien. He still managed to get 2nd in this heat!
At the end, I could finish on 5th place, wich is pretty good for myself. Still super fast but missing on the jibes and acceleration, especially in gusty conditions like this time. To unfit to pump my ass... :)

0:36 Warum hast du dich da hingelegt? 😀 Fahrt ihr so hart an der Grenze, dass man schon bei kleinsten Störungen abhebt? Ist ja krass. Aus der Kameraperspektive sah man mal richtig schön dass teilweise nur noch die Finne das Wasser berührt.

@@stevethewindsurfer8911 Das war die mega Böe des events. 6.6 bei absolutem Vollgas (kurz nach der Startlinie) und dann ungünstig einen steilen Chop von hinten getroffen und eine Millisekunde nicht aufgepasst. Passiert nicht oft, war auch etwas überrascht. War aber nicht schlimm, da es eine Vorrunde war. Schnell hoch und dann Andy hinterher ;-).

At the background cam the guys first fallen into water. 😳 Then the guy with Sailloft Sail looks good. At the end Neilpryde take it. 🤩

Also Andy, Du gehörst ganz sicher nicht zum alten Eisen. Sehr schön zu sehen, dass Du noch mit den jungen Butsches, die halb so alt sind wie wir, mithalten kannst. Windsurfen ist wie Radfahren, das verlernt nicht so einfach, oder?! Danke fürs digitale Mitnehmen, dass Du im Regattastress die Zeit findest, die Kameras einzuschalten. Es hat sich gelohnt. Ganz großes Kino PS: was macht Nico da bei 0:37?

dank Dir! Da war fett Wind am Start, Böen über 30 kn und krasser chopp. Ab und zu fliegt man dann einfach weg :)

Must have been some big gusts at the start of the first race, lots of riders going down. Looks like the young guns having to chase the master speedster
