Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are two men with the same mission: They say they want to make their countries "great again." Trump was Moscow’s preferred candidate in the 2016 US election. But now, the Kremlin may be having second thoughts.

Donald Trump was elected to the US presidency on 9 November 2016, defeating Hillary Clinton, who was anything but popular with the Russian government. Yet a short time later, after relations between the two countries had become as bad as they’d been since the Cold War, Moscow may have been changing its mind. The relationship has been dogged by scrutiny in the US, in particular the Mueller investigation into Russian meddling in the presidential poll.
How will Russian-US relations develop now? What deals can Moscow offer to Trump, who thrives on bluster, bluff and berating opponents? And how does that square with Putin’s ambitions to make Russia a global superpower again?
This documentary examines the ebb and flow of Russian-US relations and the personal ties between the two presidents. Politicians, insiders and experts discuss what the two men have in common and the limits of cooperation between them. The filmmakers also talk to people such as the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Duma, Piotr Tolstoi. Journalists Evgeniya Albaz and Mikhail Sygar and Kremlin mastermind Sergei Karaganov round out the Russian perspective on the relationship between the two men and their countries.

@@catrashoo Because politicians didn't like him and his views. Because it's not in line with the power hungry totalitarian left wing progresive politicians. He was never successfully impeached. That whole deal proved to me that politcians are not to be trusted. I remember when they blamed him rigging the elections; "RuSsiAn iNteRFerAnCe". It was all a lie, Biden however has ties with Russia and it's isn't nearly as big of a deal. Go ahead and complain about Trump but at least he didn't cause your gas prices to be $8 a gallon.

Putin didn't want to invade Ukraine but in his mind, and by all signs the west and particularly the US had been villifying him and Russia since the fall of the USSR. Clinton and Obama were particularly hateful toward Russia and he found them impossible to have any discussion with. Russians were glad to see the ice break when Trump was elected, perhaps a more reasonable President was coming. This was in fact true, his style is to outwardly embrace opponents as friends and make them feel less nervous and threatened. On the other hand Trump told him flat out, if you invade Ukraine we will attack Moscow. Talking softly and carrying the big stick. This was a better approach than to push for Ukraine joining NATO and America villifying Russia, and so we know Putin did not attack Ukraine until the old hatred was again surfaced, and an obviously weak President had been elected with Joe Biden.

Borrowing Russian money without disclosing it in 2016 is a campaign violation at a minimum. The fact that Trump still denies borrowing money from Russia is highly suspect and is a national security issue.

It's actually china that we borrow from, Russia can't afford to make the kind of loans the U.S. asks for. However, you can get political favors from countries as small as Ukraine, especially if you extort the favor from the president of Ukraine by holding up military and humanitarian aid already approved by Congress unless he opens an investigation into your political rival, JUST LIKE TRUMP DID. ZALENSKY still wouldn't do it though, I'm glad at least Ukraine had an honest president at the time. Trump finally cracked under world wide pressure and removed his hold on the aid, then quickly tried to take credit for the entire package going to Ukraine even though the only thing he had to do with it was trying to stop this badly needed help. Typical don-the-con.

And with Trump, it was hard to believe (for non US citizen like me at least) because you would think that people go through some security checks before they can register even as a candidate for a president? Now that Biden has gotten into office, it's pretty plain to see what has happened over the last year. When Obama was in office oh, we had the same problems with Russia over their attacking Ukraine. It's pretty much summed up like this, the Democrats suck at running this country and controlling a superpower. When they are in the power we have wars everywhere and the world is a mess. When mr. Trump was in power he 12-piece treaties and there was peace everywhere. Not to mention the greatest economy in the history of the United States. Greetings from America. There has been various insinuations concerning the symbol of the bear and the dragon and the eagle mentioned in the Bible. I have done research on this and all of these symbols are in reference to Rome. Since Russia and China and America have these symbols and are large countries they are often brought up in insinuating ways. But basically all of these symbols fit Rome. The seven hills mentioned in the Bible in the book of Revelations surround Rome and the Vatican. The Bible describes the Antichrist as one who kings bow down to and one who sits upon a throne as though he is God. That fits the description of the pope and not any presidents. America is facing much persecution just as China and Russia are.

The wealthy evil city mentioned in the Bible is the Vatican. They have all of the symbols and descriptions and largest numbers worldwide counting all their additional false religions that all make the Mystery Babylon. Go back 300 years before that when Roman Emporer Constantine started false Catholicism before false Muslim was started and about 50 years before that when Roman Emporer Diocletian was burning Bibles and all the houses that had them. In addition consider all of the wars going back to ancient times all over the world.
