JP.Calamity That’s how I interpreted it as well! Especially after “Selflessness v.s. Selfishness”, I would guess he’s not feeling that appreciated by the others and that they’re (Thomas & the “light” sides) not getting what they (the “dark” sides; he, Remus, and previously Virgil so far) are/were trying to do, which is protect Thomas from the not-so great world he’s living.

To show Thomas what happens when you don’t lie to yourself. You get the good and the bad. I think part of his plan was showing Thomas the bad inside of him so he would think it might be a good idea to lie to himself. One of his jobs is in fact to keep some truths from Thomas if he doesn’t want to know. They said so when he first showed up.

I feel like Remus only started eating deodorant after Virge left, cause Virge was like: "You don't eat deodorant.." I’m conflicted. On one hand, Thomas doesn’t want to use Remus as he embodies mostly everything he doesn’t like about himself. On the other hand, I find Remus both entertaining and relatable.
