28 күн бұрынDefense leaders from around the world have been in Singapore this weekend for an international security conference. The Shangri-La Dialogue is Asia's foremost defense forum. This year's attendees included representatives from China, the United States, Australia, and Indonesia. The forum focused on security issues in the Asia-Pacific region, including tensions between China and Taiwan.
There was also a suprise appearance from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It is only the second time Zelenskyy has travelled to Asia since Russia launched its full-scale invasion. Zelenskyy accused China and Russia of trying to disrupt an upcoming peace summit on the war in Ukraine. He said Bejing was pressuring other nations not to attend.
Zelenskyy said more than 100 countries and organisations had signed up to the peace summit taking place in Switzerland this month, and urged Asia-Pacific nations to join them.

Russia's involvement isn't necessary at the first conference: Russia is the aggressor here, and the purpose of the first conference is solely to establish some conditions and ground rules for possible future peace talks, to which Russia will be invited.

South Korea still exists, and grew to be clearly better in every way to its northern counterpart. The others were only lost because the governments that hosted US forces failed to get their act together despite over a decade of America’s shield and aid. The length of which is impressive itself due to all of them being surrounded by hostile nations that American forces didn’t go occupy.

Yup. The NATO countries (EU+USA) account for 25% of the world's population (but they actually think they are the 75% - the arrogance!). The best solution would have been to consider the plights of both sides rather than simply naming one side as the aggressor whereas the said aggressor has equally been aggressed by the West and Ukraine for years, except you are limiting aggression in this case to only deployment of troops into Ukraine.
