I think washed is the wrong word for his situation. His knees turned into pudding that year and once the big three era was over that same summer it took the weight and pressure off his shoulders since he and the entire team were just so beat up and tired from the 4 straight finals appearances, Wade was able to really heal his knees and get healthy again, while resting up. Cause 2015 he had a great comeback year and 2016 he went full on beast mode, averaged the same numbers and efficiency as he did in the 2006 finals and played just like his best year in ‘09.
