At the beginning is the station ID of DYHP used in the early 1990s. The names of people who played the drama can be heard at 16:46.
I captured this broadcast around 1992? and my location is in Cagayan de Oro. It demonstrates how clear the signal of DYHP Cebu even they are 220 Km away from Cagayan de Oro. That's why they are very popular in the provinces of Northern Mindanao where there are no local stations because when you scan the dial their signal is one of the strongest.

This brings back a lot of memories. I had been an avid DYHP radio drama listener when I was a kid as that was our only entertainment back then in the province. We didn't have TV or anything like that. Those times were hard but the radio drama made our lives a bit easier and less boring. As a kid I loved Mutya sa Saging Mantikaan, Ramini ang Batang Bronsi - I always get fascinated with Ramini and Excel fighting together against the the villain Kusak, Moonman Ang Bata sa Buwan - I was so crazy about this drama that I wanted to be Moonman as well. I dreamed I had a power and was so excited to test it out the morning after. LOL, Engkantadang Aninipot, Ruben ug Emily Ug Ang Kagahapon, Randy Gwapo ug Indai Bangkilan at 2:30pm?, Linugdangan sa ..., Bala ug Rosaryohan (this drama was preempted as this was sold for a movie title of the same name), Kwadrado nga Buwan, Panyo ni Veronica, Kulafu batok Kapitan Umbar/Aswang - I always loved that Kahoy nga Yonac because that's my last name being reversed (Canoy), that crazy old witch Norzagaray and Kulafu's buddy Bantol, Ang Agta sa Dakit, the romantic-horror dramas of the famed Liden Lumapas Flores - does anyone know his whereabouts now?, and many many more. And who can forget the Happy Mart jingle of Teban and Goliat: Happy Mart karong paskoha; Baligya bag-o ug barato; Bag-ong stock gikan sa Manila; Happy Mart, barato gayud! (And then enter Sharon's Great Taste Coffee commercial) Look at this hon? (not sure), you are number one! Rik-rik corn snack: Wife: Ting, bag-o ko'ng ligo Ting Husband: Patilawa ko bi? Wife: Ay, unya na. Naa paman ang mga bata (After a while) Husband: Mmmm...kalami, kahumot Wife: Lami gyud ang Rik-rik corn snack Producer feeds: Aduna akoy baboy'ng binuhi Milagsik, mitubo'g dali Producer feeds.... And that funny commercial of herbal supplement saying: Mga higala, kini si uncle Mar Lopez sa bantay panglawas Naay namaligya nga ginganlan ug Nelia Lopez nga nagamit sa akong supplement, wala koy labot ana. (hahahaha)

Haha it's great that you remembered a lot of drama series back then. For me, I liked "Address Morio-Morio Wa'y Numero", "Flowers", "Gomorra", "Nasuko ang Langit" with Elma Vestil singing pen pen de sarapen with matching thunder and lightning sa background sa intro, "Gabriel Iglesias, "Tita Isabel", "Syagit sa Nagpakaluoy nga Kriminal", "Anastasia", "Rayna nga Wa'y Trono" and a lot more

Omg. It reminds me of my childhood days. Im so fond of listening to dyhp dramas starting 8am to 4:30 pm and from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Up to now i can still remember some of my favorite dramas. Can you pls. upload RAMINI ANG BATANG BRONZE, WONDER OLD MAN, SCARFACE, ANINO SA KANGITNGIT, CHRISTOPHER, AGTA SA DAKIT, MILAGRO SA STO. Elma Vestil Patalinghug recently had a role (or a duo role) as Kapitan del Barrio (or the Konsehal) and Colariat (if she had a duo role) in their drama "Colariat, ang Multong Igat" (lit. Colariat, the Horny Ghost) written by Rey Arellano on DYSS Super Radyo. Their last episode was on October 31st, 2015, but sadness cloud I didn't able to record the last episode since I was not in my grandma's residence where my Astron KS-55 ST Cassette Deck Karaoke was placed. Worse is, when I listened that drama in my neighbor's residence, not knowing that it was their last episode already. Anyway, I managed to record it even it is very hard to recall the date of recording. P.S.: I don't have a tape to mp3 converter yet, so it's hard to have a digital format.

TRIVIA: Majority or some of the Radio Drama Personalities behind the Drama "Anghela" are move to another radio station. Including Elma Vestil Patalinghug, Susan Perez Aliño, and Nelson Tantano which is now in DYSS Super Radyo Cebu of RGMA (Sister Station of Double 9.5 RT which now Barangay RT 99.5 Nindota Ah!). During 80's, according to my friend (if he is not mistaken), Elma Vestil Patalinghug was one of the person behind in a controversial drama in DYHP entitled "For Adults Only"(Sunod pa sa Berbotin sa DYRB. Note: Not confused with DYRD through pronunciation and last two letters after DY. If thats RB, that from Cebu, DYRB Cebu. But if thats RD, thats from Tagbilaran, DYRD Tagbilaran.). Naa poy kinaiya nga magpaigat-igat sa mga drama maong nakaingon nga naa siya'y role sa For Adults Only ug sa nahuman nga dili dugay nga horror comedy drama sa DYSS nga Colariat, ang Multong Igat ni Rey Arellano.

bobexr3 According to the old station ID of DYHP, "DYHP broadcasts together with DYXT Tagbilaran,...". DYXT AM is an local AM Station in Tagbilaran City. I do not know why DYXT AM is now a defunct or dormant AM Station. In Tagbilaran, among the 3 or 4 AM Stations, only DYTR 1116 and DYRD 1161 still exist, while the rest are in dormancy, or shutdown.

Antic Radio They already removed the transmitting tower of DYXT 1071 KHz Tagbilaran City long ago. Despite their power is only 1 KW their signal can reach in Cagayan de Oro with acceptable quality although not as strong as DYRD & DYTR which are 5 KW.

bobexr3 Actually, I wonder why DYXT 1071 KHz is off air when I attempt to tune to my radio, because I am a native from Bohol. Even in some town, including Batuan, Carmen, Sierra Bollunes, Pilar, and so on, DYTR and DYRD is weaker, or some of radio sets are hard to hear it. Good for those people who can able to have successful attempt to move their radio sets, resulting to good reception, or installing telescopic antenna in their radio sets. I do not know if DYXT 1071 can heared in mentioned towns, because the transmitter sites of DYTR and DYRD was set in the lowest elevation. Those mention towns are high elevated places.

I also liked "Flowers", 8 pm ang timeslot it was written and directed by Boy Patalinghug, ang bida was Oliver Bob Enjambre with Elma Vestil as leading lady. I think it was around that period that "Gomorra" by Ranel Villa was aired every 7pm, again with Elma Vestil and Ester Enjambre

During the time that dyHP RAdio drama is capturing the airwaves, there was also Radio station in Cebu producing good dramas like" Langit og Yuta" Dear Manang Carol, Kalye Porgatoryo, Sa Ngalan Sa Inahan, Mga Mata ni ANgelita, Ingko Tibong. Familiar Voices of Carol Ponce, Inting Kilantan, Dodo Juesan,.and among other. I think, it was produce by dyRF. Enlighten me please

Do you have any idea about the name of that kid who originally played Roco from the drama Roco Ang Batang Bato on DHYP back then in 1979? That drama was one of my favorite when I was little. Several years later on other drama around 1981 his voice began to deepen due to puberty but I'm no longer able to follow the drama because of school schedule so I have no idea if he was still with them because I can't recognize his adult voice.

+Jazz Ramirez I think her (Elma Vestil's) latest drama was "Ganti sa Luha" last 2014 and she is the writter of that drama. However, I do not know if she still acting in her written drama. Unfortunately, I did not record or don't have a record since I don't have a cassette coz recording through mobile seems quite sucks.

bobexr3 "Dying Lady played by Susan Perez Aliño" Its Susan Perez Aliño, not Aleño. Madam Susan Perez Aliño is now working at DYSS Super Radyo as Station Manager. A little info about Madam Susan. Nelson Tantano is now also working at DYSS Super Radyo as Music Scoring in all dramas in DYSS.

@@bobexr3 UPDATE: Nelson Tantano left DYSS, and now works as Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevension (COSAP). ...TRIVIA: Nelson's real name is Narciso G. Tantano (referrence: His ID found in one of his FB Posts). Nelson was succeded by Donald Gonzales. Elma Vestil-Patalinghug was then worked at DYRC Cebu, according to former DYAB Radio Personality and current DYSS Cebu Radio Personality Edgar Guiterrez.

If that's the case, I'm sure this recording came together with the 10 a.m. edition of RMN NewsBreak Cebu, which you uploaded on another video. Speaking of DYHP recordings, I have a recording of one of its commercial breaks, dating back December 14, last year. I recorded it during the popular radio drama anthology Kini ang Akong Suliran. I might as well upload it in KZfaq when time allows me to do. TBH, I love listening to those old radio recording and airchecks from the 70's to the early 2000's. They're really rare.

Yes after the time check then followed by the station ID at the beginning of this video. After the station ID the newscaster announced name and address of a winner before the intro of Anghela but I have to edit it out to protect her identity.

I think that "announcing the winner" thing being done by DYHP was the precursor of today's station promo, wherein if the DYHP monitoring catches you listening to their station, you'll have a prize, either rice or cash. This was actually being done as a gratitude of DYHP thanking Cebuanos for making them no. 1. (In fact, DYHP topped the 4Q 2016 radio survey of the KBP-Kantar, based on a plug I heard recently.)
