DL 1 is definitely one of the most terrifying experiences. I'm happy this game got delayed so much, we won't get another Cyberpunk situation

I just started playing the first game for the first time and it is SO unnerving. The atmosphere is so creepy that you have constant goosebumps and your butt cheeks are clenched about 99% of the time you're not in a safe zone. This looks even worse (better)...

Fun fact: The creators of Dying Light have a friend/Developer called Korek, and oh boy is he famous. Basically, whenever he would play test the games, he would create his own weapons to help himself, and leave them in the game for players to find and use. They are VERY powerful if your just starting. What a nice friend to have 🙂

Love the last trailer as it also showed how the world changes from your action. First time the guy jumping through the window you can see his face determined to get out of there. Then the second time you see him jumping through the window had regrets of leaving the girls behind to die. Can't wait for this game since I loved the first one so much.

Something really cool about this game is that the main protag/guy you play as is voiced by Jonah Scott. He's a really cool guy and has done other voice acting work in anime, his most recent thing was Beastars as another main protag named Legoshi. I think you might like that series or at least find it interesting

Dont know if many people know this, but the first guy talking to the main character in the first trailer seems to be modeled after David Belle, who is the actual founder of Parkour (the guy who invented the sport). I recognize by the face as am a parkour practicioner myself. I think he did some input for the parkour animations of the game, or so i heard. He is the same guy who played as Paul Walker's partner in the movie "Brick Mansions"

Yea the first was definitely a horror game to. There wasn't too much you could do about more than one infected till later in the game. And the extremely mutated ones at night were invincible to you. All you could do was run and hope you got to some uv before they caught you...

In regards to why the Infected didn't go into the sun or like the UV is because they are incredibly sensetive to UV light

Also adding on, this game is very heavy with horror. Especially night missions, more zombies on the streets and the mutated aka specials are very active. Dying Light has always been a fun zombie game for me, the way its made just makes it more... suspenseful and final note. At the end of your video, they showed a Dying Light 2 trailer XD

One thing I love that they’ve done is get Rodger Craig Smith to voice the main character again despite it being set years ahead and being a different character. It just seems like a smart way to make people like the character because they’re already familiar with him. Also you guys are pretty cool for replying to all your comments, where you find the time haha lol.

The worst thing to know about the infected, especially if they're becoming a volatile via a nest... Is that they can feel everything changing in them until they're fully transformed - the most horrific thing is that, you can hear them begging to be killed and saying "It burns..." "Kill meeee...!" as their humanity is slowly being drained from them. There are fates worst than death.

Great reaction...going out at night or into dark places in this game can be terrifying as all the zombies are much stronger.

You know you are pretty much 100% desensitized when you calmly eat a sandwich through the entire first trailer.

Im somewhat pissed but also happy that Techland delayed the game, lets hope it wont be buggy when it comes out ... it was announced on 7th december 2021 but got delayed to 4th february 2022 Also Techland announced something about being 5 factions you can side with, with your choices altering the story-line of the game 5 Factions= 5 playthroughs for the full game experience

When’s the review embargo for the game.

There are several sections of Dying Light 1 that has a horror element to it, but its primarily an open world exploration game with a pretty interesting story driving it. And as for Dying Light 2, everything I've seen and heard so far follows those same footsteps. The exploration is better, the story has more choice, the horror sections are still there but hopefully not more terrifying I'll be making a mess of my pants if thats the case. ANYWAY! If you know anything about mutative zombie viruses, its that what makes them interesting is the mutations and various "strains" of infected that exist in the game. If it was only shambling zombies and nothing else it would be rather boring in the long run. So pardon me as I point out each mutation strain we saw in these trailers, based solely on my knowledge of the 1st game by the way. There's at least one that I cant place (the final one). So, at 1:45, we see a regular Biter. Either that, or a Viral. Biters are your run of the mill shambling zombies, while Virals are a variant strain. Typically recently infected people become Virals first and deteriorate into Biters over time, but in The Following DLC, regular Biters could return to Viral stage again so it's a bit of a back and forth between the two. At 2:38 we definitely see a Viral however. Virals are more energetic and active than their Biter cousins, and can run. Biters can not run, ever. But they shamble surprisingly fast sometimes, "lunging" at their victims. Big boy at 2:50 is known as a Goon. These guys are beefy tanks that in DL1 like to swing massive concrete rebars around for deadly knockback and AoE damage. It seems this guy has muted into more beefier limbs, he probably no longer needs that rebar. At 2:57 I believe it's still the same Goon, but his size is rather large, typically associated with the bigger more dangerous Demolisher. These massive overgrown zombies charge at their enemies and can even break down solid concrete walls with enough momentum. It might be the Goon mutating into a Demolisher, which has horrifying implications about the speed of their adaptations. The puking ones at 3:00 i have never seen before, BUT! There's two "puking" types in DL1, the "poisoned" variant of the typical Biter (which you only encounter at higher player levels and game difficulty levels) and the Toad variant which can spit acidic bile like a grenade launcher. These critters look more like the Biters than the Toads, so I assume it's an adaptation of the poisoned biters. That thing at 3:07 might just be a normal biter or viral having a late night snack. It could also be a Bolter, one of the rarest types of infected in DL1. Its posture, crouched low to the ground, is the same but it lacks the typical green glowing pustules of the Bolter, so I lean more to a biter or viral. And at 3:20, the main terror of Dying Light 1. The Volatile. Volatiles at least in Dying Light 1 shows up ONLY at night, and are horrors that are faster and stronger than you. They love to chase you down and feast on you. But an incredible weakness of the infested which is seen primarily in the more advanced forms like the Volatile and Bolter is their aversion to and weakness to sunlight, where they will take actual damage from it. UV rays, specifically, so you can use a UV flashlight as well which is a tool you can get in the first game. UV flares are also a thing. Volatiles are terrifying and even if you play on easiest difficulty, its better to run away from them than fight. Trust me. The caped thing at 4:03 seems too detailed to be a random zombie, but I've never seen its type before. It could just be a Biter variant of a once-important human hence the unique model, or it could be something more sinister. We'll have to play the game to find out I guess. The run shows nothing new really but at 5:18 when he exits the hospital, a lot of biters are following him and they begin taking damage from the sun, which is rather interesting. In Dying Light 1, biters are EVERYWHERE day and night, shambling through streets and cornfields alike. Sunlight is not affecting them, but it seems different in Dying Light 2? Perhaps in the 20 years, even regular infected have gotten sunlight vulnerability. I dont know, we will have to play to find out that too ^_^ Contradiction to my previous statement is seen right after at 6:14 when biters or virals are running after a guy in the streets during sunset, but it could be the sun is already so low UV rays arent harming them anymore at that point. 6:18 is definitely a Demolisher strain, even if the previous Goon is not. Big, beefy and deadly. Best way to deal with them is constant movement and ranged attacks, remove his armor and hit him in the back. Wonder if the same tactic works in DL2, he still seems armored, but that looks like rocks, not police kevlar. Not a zombie, but at 6:50 he is using a Grappling Hook. It's the favored parkour tool of DL1 and I sincerely hope we start with it and can use it everywhere in DL2, in DL1 it was locked behind player progression AND it was also disabled during some of the story missions. You've seen this already, the paraglider at 7:36. It's definitely new and flying adds a completely new dimension to an already incredibly varied set of movement options. It's also usable in conjunction with the hook as you can see, which gives so much more mobility. Mobility is so vital in Dying Light that they gave us our own car in The Following DLC, an offroad buggy. Glad to see they're keeping up the trend of giving us new mobility options. Also I have no idea what that screaming thing is at 8:45 but I've heard rumors of a "banshee" strain. I would assume this is it. The scream could be dangerous in several ways, there's a Screamer strain in Dying Light 1 and it summons hordes of infested to your location if you dont stealth kill it. Its screams also disorient and slow you. Banshees could be similar. Sorry for once again giving you such a massive wall of text :D Hope its not too much. There's more zombie strains that exist in Dying Light 1 that wasn't seen in these trailers, but they might be gone or changed in Dying Light 2 so you'll just have to wait and see.

DYING LIGHT 1 SPOILERS The general story for DL1 is a rogue operative for the relief organisation called the GRE stole the cure for infection and intends to sell it, you're airdropped into the city by the GRE to recover it, the person who stole it is now a local warlord and you meet up with the Tower, a enclave of survivors just trying to survive, as you progress, it turns out it's not the cure he has but proof the GRE is responsible for the outbreak, Once this is discovered the GRE works with the local government to firebomb the city and cover it all up once but they won't do it until the intel is safe to be sure the end comes with you killing the warlord while the GRE come to extract you from the City but you refuse to leave and give them the information so it stays in the city, assuring that if they city goes, so does the GRE.

Luckily with new GPU this looks fantastic and works pretty well. Kids don't try this even after 2 beers because you need serious accuracy with parkour. Night time is scary as shit but 1st one was pretty much no no. This one has time in it and it's very well done but it's so stressful. Time is about 5 minutes and when you are doing mission that time counting it's nerve racking to hear beep beep beep when you have about 2 minutes left. Why do person do that to himself...well it's good game 🤷‍♂

This DL2 is just a cash grab and the company doesn't care about the state of the game instead they remove all the features nerfing the rope even when it was said that it works fine, nerfing movement and now you can't walk normal without feeling a delay, still full of bugs like invisible enemies which make your game not progress, no hitbox to night enemies when day appear
