Next time 10 vol developer. Higher developers are used to lift the hair then deposit color, but typically if your going lighter not darker. 10 vol developer just deposits the color and less harsh for your hair.

Idk the chemistry between why your blonde hair turned green with the black dye but what you’re supposed to do is dye the blonde hair a copper color and then apply the black dye.

You should try Demi permanents!!! They last just as long & aren’t as harsh as permanent hair dyes.

You might want to try using a neutral filler next time so that the porous blonde hairs won't grab the base of the color and turn it green. Also, maybe use a lower level of developer, if you are depositing color only. No need for 30 volume since you're not going lighter. I hope this helps. It came out beautiful though and that light blue dress is perfect with your blue-black hair. 😍

Can I ask why you’re using 30 volume developer? I wouldn’t think more than 20 is necessary. Did it make it last longer? I’m in green hair territory right now and need to know 😂

i thought by using the 30 volume developer it would make the color pop more but i think my logic is wrong 😅😂 my hair blonde part is green right now too and i think it’s because the dye doesn’t last long

@@1katalinag You’re right! I think blue black in general washes out pretty quickly. The lightened parts of my hair is the color of greenish mud right now 😂

@@1katalinag it’s green because you went to a black/ slightly blue. You would of needed to dye it another color first I forgot I think it’s like a red orange and then black. You need to cancel out the colors to get it black and not grayish

Maybe try Arctic Fox Transylvania Mixed with one of their blue shades :) Blue Jean Baby or the lighter blue one

Its not going to go over permanent colour similar you should strip old dye out first this blue tint won't last

You didn’t leave it on long enough. That color needs at least 1 hour

How long did the color last you?

not that long. after 3-4 washes the blue faded and it looked mostly black :/

@@1katalinag oh ok 😏 well atleast it just went black instead of something gross lol. I am putting a blue additive in my mixture so hopefully it'll help. But doubt it lol
