‘Extra’s’ Cheslie Kryst talks with Dylan O’Brien, who is starring in Taylor Swift’s short film ‘All Too Well.’ At the NYC premiere of the short, Dylan shared his take on those Jake Gyllenhaal comparisons, as well as what it was like to work with Taylor.

I think is sad how the media hasn't learned anything for what Taylor have said over the years. Instead of focusing on the amazing achievements she is doing, in her art they keep focusing on her past relationship and speculation. So proud of Dylan

I agree. I don’t think its something that happened 10 years ago needs to be rehashed (even though this song and era of Taylor’s life is resurfacing), but Taylor herself even said that this rerelease was meant to be fun. Red TV is about uniting fans and the synergy behind the album, not the source material.

Here is the classy thing about Dylan.. When he was in that horrible accident during the last Maze Runner movie, he kept a lot of things private. Even Tyler Posey was a king and kept it private and said “out of respect and love for Dylan, I don’t know how much he wants me to put out but yeah, he was in a horrible accident but he is alive and that’s what matters”. I think people.. Especially interviewers, tend to forget that there are actors out there that are not about making dramatic headlines. Dylan has always been private so this is not surprising to me.

@@ivy6514 There was never gonna be a fourth movie, there's only three books and they'd said right from the start they weren't splitting the last one in two parts like a lot of other YA book-to-movies had done. I think Megan was just saying he's always been a very private person, so it was no surprise that he handled invasive questions about Taylor's life as well as he did.

Also, the existence or non-existence of a fourth movie doesn't really relate to what Megan was saying about keeping his life private.

Taylor said the song is ours now, hers and the fans'. Also, she wrote it many years ago, a decade ago, she's long over it, nobody cares who the song is about anymore; she's in a loving relationship with someone else, and she's been with that person for quite a while now. If there's any easter egg in that film, it's gonna be about her next project or something of the sort.

And then he tries to rescue her from her abusive husband (because by now she’s married with a kid). But they end up falling in love…the ending sucks but that’s why I referenced the Great Gatsby. 😂😅

There's always a ton of backstory good actors put into their characters off screen, so they know how their character would react in any given situation. Even if no one else called his character Brandon, he knows his character and his character's history so he can channel that on camera.

It's truly heart breaking to know that Cheslie Kryst took her own life due to depression. The energy she brought and she looked and sounded like she was full of life but she was dealing with depression behind it all. It's unbelievable that just in November she was interviewing Dylan and in January she died. Don't even think Dylan knows about this, but it really brings you back down to reality that this entertainment industry, people are working with a smile on their faces but are hurting deep inside and we feel like they're living a better life than us. Just got to appreciate life more and treat everyone with kindness because you can never know what they're dealing with. What a goddess, I hope she's somewhere in heaven, healed by God, and finally found pure joy.

It’s been 10 years, she’s been in love with someone else for half that time. I really don’t think Taylor cares about Jake Gyllenhaal or what he did anymore. It isn’t love it isn’t hate it’s just indifference. People can be jerks but they can also grow. Also “I can’t wait to see Brandon come to life” is the best thing I’ve heard all day.

@@lamazzello8770 muy muy resumido dijo que fue un si inmediato, que se sorprendió mucho que taylor le llamara y que quisiera que fuera parte del proyecto porque él pensaba que ella no tenía idea de quién era el y que ella le dijo que el podía decir que no al proyecto sin problemas y él le dijo que ni siquiera estaba en cuestión. Y le preguntaron sobre jake porque el y sadie tienen casi la misma diferencia de edad que tenian taylor y jake y el dijo que no pensaba que hubiera nada ahi, que él no pensaba que taylor hubiera experimentado ese tipo de relación y que de hecho su personaje se llamaba Brandon y que no podía esperar para verlo cobrar vida jajaja

Dylan talking about Taylor is amazing! I'm not a huge stan but her work as a director and writer was spectacular. I loved the way she wove it in with her music. I hope she does more stuff like this in the future!

From India watching it. The song is going to be out at 7pm that's 5:30 am here. Doing night shift office and checking on KZfaq. I'm a huge fan of Dylan since teen wolf,watched all of his movies,I liked Sadie a lot in stranger things. And along with this Taylor Swift with her beautiful voice. It's gonna be a nuclear bomb blast.

Can we appreciate the brilliance of pairing Dylan who‘s been a „teenage heartthrob“ for a while and didn’t appear in anything major since the Maze Runner with Sadie who’s a breakout star? Both of them have massive fanbases. Like the additional demographics you can reach just by installing them in this short film! Not saying this to diminish their acting, they were wonderful. But also this is such a smart move.
