Dyna Fat Bob Gets Big Changes!

After riding on a stock set up for a year I couldn't take it anymore and made a few changes to the bike. I decided to go with 14in mx style West Coast Tbars paired with stainless steel braided Drag Specialties cables and hoses. I had a hard time deciding on what grip to choose but, I went with Biltwell Alumicore Grips and I figured the diamond pattern on them would match the Saddleman SDC Gripper Seat! I'm really happy with everything that I did to the bike it has changed the way I ride a lot and has made riding way more comfortable and fun!

That seat is sick, the difference it makes from the usual step up is perfect. Love the bike cant wait to start shopping for one next year am about 90% sold on a 2012-13 fat bob for the next bike.

Hey man love the bike. Iv got the same bike. Iv accually got the same handle bars and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction on cables and everything ill need. To mount and hook my bars up to ride. Thank you.

Would you go with +10inch throttle cables if you had to do it again? Those look a little tight visually, even though they don’t pull. Thanks.

If I had to do it again I’d go with the +10’s again, I plan on getting a 2inch tank lift so that the throttle and idle cable will have some more room and won’t be as tight. Thanks for checking out the channel and commenting!

I have stock bars on my 09 - do the new bars help with your stance? Are you leaning forward or back more in comparison? I’m looking for something that seats more relaxed than current aggressive posture

Yes the new bars help with your stance/ posture a lot they allow me to sit a straight up and not be hunched over like I was with stock bars.

Did you have to mess with the electrical wiring at all? OR did you use the stock wiring harness??? Love the bike doing mine this weekend!

He used the stock harness but had to dpin the connecters

Sorry it’s been awhile since I ordered the lines and don’t have the part numbers anymore. All the cables were +8in over stock length, hope that helps ya out. Thanks for the support!

Hi Mate, great job! I wanted do ask you whether you had to change any cables with installing a higher bar? For me it seems like that the stock cables are too short, isnt that true?

Yeah you have to get longer cables
