Dynaudio are really great speakers. As a huge b&w fan. I can say that i am fan of the dynaudio brand as well. They both have the same kind of sound a Little darker. They bot sound great with the same amps. The dynaudio has deeper bass from My experince. But that still dosent mean that b&w had thin bass. It dosent. The are really underspeced. I have not heard the highend of dynaudio or b&w. The most expensive ones i have heard is dynaudio excite x44 and b&w 702 s2. I still think i prefer the dynaudios at this price range but hard to say, becouse they was playing in different rooms and used different amps. Rotel ra 1592 seems a very impressive amp. I heard it with the dynaudios, and that sounded Amazing. It would be intresting to campare it with nad c375bee that i own now, a beast of an amp for this price. Incredible Power to drive Any speakers. As i heard rotel is a great match for b&w as well, it would be intresting to try the ra 1592 with 683 s2. But its a struggle Considering the rotel does not sale in the same stores.

They both(B&W and Dynaudio) do not have the same kind of sound !!! B&W is brighter ! Do not waste time with B&W + Rotel(better try MARANTZ PM 11S3 +B&W) !!! ROTEL got punchy bass,but in general - it is far away from magic of MARANTZ !!!

Andris Morozovs it might depend on the b&w model. 600 series should be a good match for rotel. They are more laid back. I never said dynaudio and b&w sound exactly the same they are differences. But both have a more laidback sound. And i think the rotel ra 1592 would be a pretty good match for the 683 s2 but i can't say for sure before testing it.

@@andreasmoller9798series 600 anyway sounding better with MARANTZ PM 11 S3 !!! I'd compare by my self !!! If you want save some money,get second hand PM 17 mk 2 M KIS and connect to yours B&W 683 S2 !!! For INFO - MARANTZ is very sensitive on different power cord swaps by personal experience ! Marketing always push Rotel+B&W for many years all ready !!! :)

Andris Morozovs they amp is no longer availble. And i think it comes down to taste as well. Rotel ra 1592 seems to get really good reviews. And for the price its one of the best out there. For what it has to offer. My second pick would be Musical fidelity m6si, but its a bit more expensive. The nad amp is great but lacking the details in the tweeters. And if the ra 1592 could give what nad offers plus the top, i would be very happy with that. But i don't want to buy anything just yet can't afford. And i need to try out on My speakers before buying. They can have so different sounds

thanks Terry legendary coverage -just a question perhaps a silly one -hearing this Confidence 50 did it sound massively better than the Nubert Nuvero 170 ? Were you far more impressed ? or not at all. Appreciate any comments from people who have listened to both. These are very expensive in Australia and i am struggling to drink the Dynaudio Kool aid cheers

I have recently bought luxman integrated to pair my focals next speaker will be sonus faber or dynaudio i like them both

Dynaudio makes the best tweeter in the world and their bass is also usually superior to Sonus (my second favourite speakers). If you exclusively like listening to string quartets or acoustic guitar than then the Sonus narrowly wins. For everything else it is Dynaudio.

I think this was a badly matched system. This doesnt sound even close to the Confidence 30 you recorded in your previous video. Another Confidence 30 video from another dynaudio showroom also had a great match. This amp should be paired with harbeth or sonus faber rather. Hope the new Confidence line reputation wont be ruined by such presentations in the near future.

Totally agree , even the music chosen was so bad!!! If I was Dynaudio I would demand that PPS take this video down as it doesn't do the speaker justice . You can almost see the people thinking WTF..... at least play some decent music. If this guy worked for me he would be sacked.

More expensive is not always better... I have heard these Dynaudios sound more controlled with much cheaper amplification.

Ahh look how many people left the room when the high bits got a little tooo high ,heard the same at Bristol. Very bright and harsh to the lobes but fair play to the chap who sat through it he must be verging on deafness .

Is it the speakers or the system? I dont think the new confidence line would sound this bad. There are a couple of videos of Confidence 30 matched with Naim gear that sounded really good and impressed those who went there for a listen.

Hasan Askari I just think Dynaudio have gone for a very clean sound but turns into bright and harsh sounding on the wrong system.

@@redleather100 yea. I have a feeling Dynaudio makes a big jump everytime they release a new lineup eventhough using the same series name. The new Contours are totally worlds apart compared to the old Contour S series. From clear, detailed & analytical to sweet & boomy, it's really not a good idea to have high expectations when they make 'improvements'. Guess i'll just hope for a C4 someday since dynaudio has been living off the old confidence series for more than a decade.

Why do they insist on playing such awful bloody music?? There are people like myself who are in the market for speakers in this price range who listen to EDM, reggae, rap etc. Why do they never play anything like that? That's the reason I gave up on audio shows years ago, they seem to only cater for the musical tastes of bearded, badly dressed fat blokes who can't get a date

Hear you man, almost no modern music being played while there's awesome stuff being released! big fan off high end ambient like stuff from the ultimae label and other modern electronic produced stuff, they should showcase more off this stuff tbh.

This is a terrific Audionet FAIL of the year, - its just clips and cant drive those baby's well.. Better they use Soulution monos for theese if they want such signature without harsh and muddy.... Looking at this BRAVE man - he dont even think to run away from this acoustic weapon that melt the brains...))))

@KT88gs first please don't make the goof that the sound you hear is from the speakers featured in this or ANY KZfaq :-) The sound you hear is mostly from YOUR speakers right?And then, yes, the cut that is played in the video which itself might be REALLY awful. So without hearing these or ANY speakers for that matter with YOU IN the room, you can't really make a proper assessment. Dynaudios are among the very best made and researched speakers on the planet. Hear them for yourself - don't take my or anyone else's word on that!
