E-40 was closer to 2pac then Short and Ice Cube, Thats why 40 always praise Pac in every interview when hes asked about 2 Pac, But from what I heard, Pac didn't really hang with Cube like that.

There’s home video footage online of a young Tupac in a studio with Ice Cube. It’s the quietest you’ll ever see him. You could tell he respected the veterans

Pac was already ahead of his time at a young age. He was a prophet. Its mind blowing how much knowledge and wisdom he had for a 25 yr old.

My most impressive passionate speech by 2pac is the analogy he makes about him wanting to enter a hotel room where people have everything and are partying. "First time you knock on the door you ask friendly if you can come in. But eventually you start rapping passionately". I do it no justice, just search for it on KZfaq. Loved that....
