Your army looks amazing. I doubt I can ever afford an army I'll just have to live vicariously by drooling over them. Phenomenal and beautiful army just love it. Your color scheme and details really make the models pop.

Well, just start by collecting them one set at a time - I’m talking about the new stuff, those Old World models for Night Goblins. Unfortunately I’m in the same boat and got into it a little too late; all of the classic WFB models (boxes of 20 models) are hundreds of dollars on eBay. But, I’ll still enjoy maybe slowly collecting a Night Goblin army and painting them in a classic style like this!

I love that giant unit of spear gobbos. Such character in those old models. Beautiful painting job. Your videos make me happy.

Great looking Goblin army. I've been painting up a few of the Night Goblins from the Battle for Skull Pass boxset. Not sure how I got them as I never purchased that edition of Warhammer Fantasy, but darn the models look great. I still remember one of my favourite models, the Night Goblin Shaman with the little effigy on the end of a pole, glad to see that you've got him too! Good to hear that you still enjoy playing despite never winning with them, when I recently read the Orcs and Goblins 4th edition army book, one part that stood out for me was something along the lines of "when it all goes wrong during a battle they fail spectacularly, but there is nothing more amazing when it goes the right way." Thanks for the video!

Beautiful army. Hasn't seen the scuplt of that second Shama before (With blue-tipped staff). An open question to anyone reading this -- and one that goes back 30+ years to first seeing the original Snarsnick and Gobbler models: What is that thing sticking out of Gobbler's mouth (and that I presume explains the green inside his mouth -- as per original 'Eavy Metal paint job also shown here)?

I feel very much the same about my orcs in Man o' War - never have won a battle with them but I'm still compelled to field them because the entertainment value is just so hard to beat. A successful unit action can feel just as good as a victory! In that whole army my eye gets drawn to the red bows on those archers the most. Even in monopose they're dangerous looking fellas. 👍

Man, early/mid-2000s, I did a massive Warhammer purge since I wasn't playing anymore. Huge Greenskin army, huge Lizardman army. All of my armies were 3,000 points, with options. I kept my High Elves and Chaos armies (Warriors & Beastmen). I've rebuilt the Greenskins in the last 5-6 years, with Empire and Dwarfs in the process. I added a Marauder army, since new models finally came out. It is soooooooo expensive, now. I have a bunch of Night Goblins; Stickas and Shootas, but they're a part of a larger Orc & Goblin army. It's currently at 2,000 pts painted, for 5th ed. You have to have at least one unit so that you can bring those three Fanatics. I also have two Squig Hoppers in the list. 6:29 - I never understood why people ran regiments with such a wide frontage. Especially with units on 20mm bases. All you realistically need is 6 models wide. It's only a minimum of 4 models to count the rank bonus and bonuses over three ranks don't count. When you have 6 wide, you can match up perfectly with a 5-wide regiment on 25mm bases. Anything wider and those excess models can't attack. Added bonus, if you did 36, you will have a few extra points for another/better magic item, or whatever. If you're going over 6 wide to soak up extra wounds before the rank bonus goes away, you're better off going deep, instead. If you go 6 ranks of 6, that's 36 models. That means you have 21 models dead before your third rank is compromised. With 10-wide, like you have here, you can only lose 7 models before that third rank bonus goes away. We all know how quickly we lose 7 Goblins... lmao

Another time warp showcase, great stuff! I really like that goblin skin tone, I find goblin skin a real challange to paint, still havent mastered it. Lovely collection, it is one the best armies to play and teaches you to enjoy the fun because your plans often go wrong .. looking at you, stoopid trolls picking your noses and scratching bums and snoozing.

Amazing stuff, this has always been my favourite era of GW miniatures - so much character and colour. I never bought into the ‘grim dark’ Warhammer Fantasy world - there’s just too much fun and comedy in it. The Hobbit to 40K’s Lord of the Rings. Absolutely delighted to stumble across your channel (and Podcast) and to find there are others out there who share my happy memories of this time in GW’s history. Quick question - how to you make your gaming boards?

Thanks for your comments and I ma glad you finally found the channel and podcast. So please enjoy and share the videos to people that might appreciate this kind of thing. In answering your question about the board. It is an MDF board which is about 10mm thick. It was painted green and then using PVA flocked using Javis JFT1 and JFT2 flock codes. The terrain was hand made using similar techniques as those from that era. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for a lot more content for 2023. Cheers Josh

Hi Carl and thanks for your comment. Good to hear your now collecting and painting your 5th armies. I have a few more to showcase with the Dwarfs next layer this month. I don’t usually varnish models anymore as I look after them and they honestly don’t need it especially if they are mostly on display. Just need to touch up and stretches over time. Varnish is a bit overrated I find anyway as unless you use gloss varnish it won’t protect it from scratching that much
