Your generation has a list of things to measure/portray excitement like you mentioned midnight icecream, trips, etc but people who had a very challenging childhood, people who know nothing is permanent and people who raised themselves from zero to top level can see and feel happiness in each and everything in their day to day life. It was not an interview IMO, the guest literally trolled / grilled the host after a certain point.... Clearly shows that media person should grow up in their line of questioning and avoid gaining traction of public using cheap publicity gimmicks like thumbnail titles, description etc..
