Flies slow, yet it's slightly heavier than a TTE UMX. Those are marks of a good design. For what it's worth, ours needed a lot of down trim too. Nice work!

I’ve loved flying mine. I haven’t tried 3s with mine, but have about 12 flights on 4s. I have been impressed with mine so far. It flies solid, and handles like a bigger plane. I think it’s worth the price. People will complain either way.

I sure enjoy mine! flying right off the road in front of my house. I dont have a long approach for landing so I have to go full flaps in a good dive and lands perfect every time.

Excellent review.... old_coastie And yes adding one more S adds more power, faster roll rate (under throttle) and helps shift CG.... old_coastie

I got mine, and love the scale looks. I think it flies more scale with 3s, but have dropped a wing a couple times, trying to fly it like a Turbo Timber Evolution. Recovered a couple of them, but also ended on the ground, with limited damage. Love the airplane, but for worry free flying, I’ll stick with my TT Evo. I’m not the first to experience this, but no one but Jon’s Rc mentions it. Nice flying!

I agree that it’s not as friendly as the TT and it has dropped a wing on me as well. This one will bite you if you get too slow, the TT doesn’t care lol.

Too bad mine never came. I’m cancelling that mug so I can get something else. Tired of waiting for back order. Already have the turbo timber evo. So no big deal.

The TT Evo has a larger flight envelope, and imo it’s a better, and more fun airplane to fly. Love the looks and scale flying of my Draco, and it sits front and center in my inventory, but the TT Evo. Is my favorite flyer, bar none.

I can’t wait to get mine it’s ment to be with me march 23rd here in uk I’ve got more 3s batteries than 4s at moment but so can’t wait to get it lol

It feels too floaty like its not having enough weight in the nose end. Im using a 4s. Any extra weight can be added to the front to make it fly better or a higher class battery?

Hey man I've been watching your videos on the fusion 480/550 for awhile now, and I was wondering if you think a 6000 pack would fit decently in the new 550. I only do mild 3d and mainly upright flight right now so a minute or 2 of extra runtime would be appreciated

I don’t see a problem with that, it should fit, I wouldn’t worry about the extra weight, it’s not gonna hurt it. I actually bought all of the parts, including the new canopy and tail fin and converted my original 480 stretch to the “new” 550, I just haven’t done a video on it.

They are always on, there is no way to turn them off and on.

Hey I was wondering if you could help me with something. My blade 330s is acting really weird when I start to fly it spins extremely fast and it's never done this before. Im in stable mode in safe and I don't think it should be going full speed. So if there is a way to fix it that would be amazing. And it's a rtf so all I have is a dxs

Did you fly in safe mode? How does it fly without safe mode? Because I don't have a Spektrum transmitter.

I did not fly it in SAFE during this video, but it flys just like every other plane in SAFE. If you’re newer to fixed wing you should be fine with this.

I am debating between UMX Draco vs. UMX Conscendo, what would you recommend?

They are both excellent, however they are completely different. If you want fast and sporty performance go with the Conscendo, if you like scale detail and STOL performance go with the Draco. I’m not sure if I could chose between the two, they just so happen to be two of my favorite small aircraft. I think the Draco has more value.

The Draco is absolutely beautiful, & the consummate bush flyer, especially in low wind conditions. It's rock solid. The Conscendo however, is a stunt glider that shrugs off 15mph wind, it's THAT fast. It also loiters in 3-5 winds with little to no throttle. Given those options you really don't have a choice, you'll need to have both.

@@mangzrc if you enjoy flying at dusk, the Conscendo will accommodate the light kit from the TTE. Plugs right into the board & if you mount them all to the wing, you can still easily detach it for transport.

I think you could probably handle this one, as long as your carful not to break all the little scale details. You might want to sit down while you fly, just so you don’t get to dizzy in your older age 🤣
