I loved that you went into this with an open mind and enjoyed it! This song is definitely not the easiest to listen to especially for someone who hasn’t quite adapted to this sound. But there’s tons and tons of different songs of this sort. The album “Immortal” by this band is insane and is with their old vocalist. I’d recommend the title track Immortal, King Ov Deception, or Death Portrait. Or I you want to check out more of this vocalist definitely Of The Abyss and Sun//Eater

Hands down favorite band of all time for me, since Will Ramos joined the band (vocalist) they have been pumping out such amazing music. Makes me very happy.

So what a lot of the reactors who are not very familiar with black/death metal are doing, especially with Lorna Shore it seems, is they pull up lyrics alongside the video (obviously we can't see the lyrics). But it seems to kind of help and will help you get past just the shock of the sound and help you identify the message within the song as well.

Really great to see someone willing to dive into that, I love seeing people react to heavy music with little prior experience of the genre. You should check out Cronic Slaughter by Slaughter to Prevail if u want to just go insanely heavy. Or check out the eagle flies alone by Arch Enemy for just a great band overall. Like i can't think of a band that works better between every member and thier abilitytoplay with/off of each other. Everything compliments everything in that band and Alissa the vocalist of the band is really amazing to the point where people misteak her for a man if they only listen to the music without seeing her

I absolutely love Lorna Shore in kind of the way that Will's voice is an instrument he can do insane things with. So it kind of sits with other very talented instrumentalists (like Polyphia or Asterism) for me where it's not what I'm after all the time but I have an amazing time listening to them. Worm Shepherd is very similar to Lorna Shore. They’re a bit more heavier, but extremely underrated. I highly recommend their songs ‘Accursed’ and ‘Wretchedness Upon the Gates’.

That’s always a fun one but I have to recommend Spiritbox // Circle With Me (Live vocal one take of Courtney Laplante), they aren’t heavier but they are a massive up and coming band with a very unique sound.

Even if the genre isn't your preference, the skillset displayed with the musicians and the effectiveness of the music to give you the intended feeling (intensity, anger and fear) is well worth the view

As someone who doesn't know much by Lorna Shore, Will Ramos is one of the best vocalists in the scene rn. His range is insane. Another great vocalist is Ben Duerr of the band Shadow of Intent. I recommend the song The Heretic Prevails. It's such a cool song vocally and instrumentally.

If you want to be scared, check out their song Into The Earth. I'm into really heavy music, and it still shocks me how heavy that song is.

You should definitely check out Shadow of Intent - From Ruin We Rise, Ben Duerr' voice is equally if not more incredible, he doesn't do as many highs as he used to but his lows are absolutely insane. Lorna and Shadow are easily my 2 fav bands at the moment, musical mastery from both bands.

That kind of singing requires some very precise harmonic placement on the soft palette of the roof of the mouth, called fry screaming. And on the false vocal chords just above the true vocal chords. For obvious reasons that's called false chord screaming. And then the sound produced from this two types of singing is manipulated by the use of mouth shape, tongue placement, breath control as well as elongation, dilation and flexion of the epiglottis and to some minor extent the trachea. It takes some training just to perform those kinds of vocals without damaging you throat. Let alone do it to get to his level. Will Ramos, Dickie Allen from Infant Annihilator and Alex the Terrible from Slaughter to Prevail are definite top contenders for the best Deathcore singers out there.

You should check out The Afterimage or Brand of Sacrifice. They are the same band, they changed genres after they disbanded. It's crazy how far their music has come since they first started in the metal scene.
