T D Ramakrishnan: T D Ramakrishnan is a novelist, short-story writer, translator, and screenplay writer. His second novel, Sugandhi Enna Andal Devanayaki, won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and the Vayalar Award, and the English translation, Sugandhi Alias Andal Devanayaki, published by HarperCollins, was longlisted for the DSC South Asian Literature Prize 2019. His other best-selling works are Alpha, Francis Itty Cora, Mama Africa, Pacha Manja Chuvappu, and Andhar Badirar Mookar. He has translated many Tamil literary works into Malayalam and won the E. K. Divakaran Potti Award for Best Translator in 2007. He also wrote the script for Olu, a fantasy drama directed by Shaji N. Karun. Recently, his debut novel Alpha has been translated into English by Macmillan.
U K Kumaran: U K Kumaran is a novelist, short story writer, and journalist. His major works include Ente Makal Sthreeyavunnu, Policukaarante Penmakkal, Thakshankunnu Swaroopam, Ezhuthappettathu, and Kananullathalla Kazhchakkal, among others. He is a recipient of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and the Vayalar Award.
G R Indugopan: G R Indugopan, is a short story writer and novelist. He has written and published more than thirty books, including memoirs and travelogues. His major works include Ice-1960C, Cheenkanni Vettakkarante Athmakathayum Muthala Layaniyum, Manaljeevikal, and Iruttu Pathradhipar. His novel, Kali Gandhaki, was made into a tele-series by Madhupal, whose screenplay was written by P. F. Mathews. The upcoming film, Vilayath Buddha, is based on his novel of the same name. He has received numerous honours, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Geetha Hiranyan Award.
Khadeeja Mumthas: Khadeeja Mumthas is a short story writer, novelist, and essayist. Her second novel, Barsa, won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2010. Her prominent works include, Athmatheerthangalil Munginivarnnu, Athuram, and Doctor Daivamalla (memoir). She also writes columns for magazines.
Benyamin: Benyamin is an novelist and short story writer. His works appear regularly in Malayalam publications in Kerala. His much-celebrated novel, Aadujeevitham, was translated into English as Goat Days, published by Penguin Random House, and was shortlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize and the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. The film adaptation of Aadujeevitham is in process, and the novel has been chosen as the curriculum in many Indian universities. One of his twin novels, Mullappoo Niramulla Pakalukal, translated as Jasmine Days by Juggernaut, won the acclaimed Indian JCB Prize for Literature in 2018. He is a recipient of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and the Vayalar Award. His latest book, Tarakans Granthavari, is published by DC Books.
