Covered in this video is how the 18650 cells and three MP1584 DC to DC converter modules come together to power the Zoomie. Not all sensors and devices operate at the same voltage, this is one solution to the problem.

Some of the technologies explored in this experiment include, but is certainly not limited to:
[*] Autonomous Robotics
[*] Photo reflective sensors
[*] Time of flight sensors
[*] Hall effect sensors
[*] Rotary encoders

With every video, the Zoomie seems to become more top-heavy. But I assume that, as with any good electric car, the center of gravity is quite low thanks to the batteries.

Hi GM, Your observation is very correct. Even with the batteries as low as I can place them, it is top heavy - well, not just yet from what you see. There is more to go with the top deck and eventually the body. In a few weeks, I will be starting to work with the motion control code (specifically the velocity control routine), in that video is when you will see the cause and effect of a top heavy design and how to deal with it. I think there is one more video left for the build process, then everything transitions over to programming and controlling the Zoomie. Lot's of fun and interesting things along that part of the journey. Thanks again for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it! Cheers Chris
