The two illustrations show the before and after changes, planned for the Islip town centre. Overall, the redevelopment focused on transforming the current main road to a dual carriage way to make the highway accessible to all and enclose the shopping establishments within. Highlights also include the new shopping centre, bus station and a car park. At the moment, the Islip town centre consists of only several shops on both sides of the main road and some housing on the central area. To the southeast location, a path from the main road leads to a school. In the east, you can also find a park that is connected from the main highway to the south. Based from the plan, a dual carriageway will be created to ensure a continuous road around the town centre. A proposed shopping centre will also rise together with a bus station on its right and a carpark on the left. The main road will be replaced by a pedestrian only and just below it, the shops will be concentrated at the center. Some new housing will be added while the park will be reduced in size. The housing at the very edge of the centre remains the same while the school will have a little to no changes.

My version: Introduction: The provided maps illustrate the current layout of the Southside shopping mall and its projected expansion. Overview: Overall, the mall is set to undergo significant changes, with a focus on expanding the shopping area at the expense of green spaces. Additionally, the transformation of restaurants and recreational facilities into fashion stores will require an expansion of the car park. Key features: At present, the interior of the mall features a cinema, noodle shop, play area, café, supermarket, department store, and sanitary facilities. Surrounding the mall, there is a car park, fitness center, and various green spaces. Notably, the main modifications will involve the expansion of the mall, the enlargement of the car park, and the removal of the fitness center. It is worth mentioning that the golf course and park will be replaced by a new department store, which will have its own entrance. Furthermore, the play area, noodle shop, and cinemas will be transformed into a beauty salon, cosmetics store, gift shop, and two shoe stores. The café located near the play area will be replaced by an Information center. The space previously occupied by the department store will be utilized for the construction of three fashion stores. Lastly, certain sections such as the supermarket, toilets, and the entrance near the car park will remain unaffected.

Overall, it is clear that the centre of the town of Islip will be expanded northward towards the countryside to give way to a bus station,a car park,a larger shopping center and a new residential area.A dual Carriageway will go round the town and the main road running through the town will become the only pedestrian.

The two maps depict the current state and the proposed rebuilding plan of Islip city centre. Overall, it is obvious that the main emphasis of the exercise is to extend the town into the nearby countryside, to modernise it into an estate, and to expand its road into a dual carriage that will surround the city for easy movement. Currently, the town comprises a main road running east to west, branching off at both ends towards the south. A row of shops is seen clustering on each side of the road. Towards the north, is a village whereas in the southern part, is a school, a park, and a pair of housing units. In the future, the main road will be reduced to a walkway while a double carriage way will be constructed at the periphery of the city with the exits maintained at the east and west directions. The northern shop cluster row will be demolished to give way for the construction of a bus station, a shopping centre, and a car park. More houses will be built on each of the city to compliment the existing ones. The school and the park will maintain their original position although the size of the later will be reduced.

it is my version for introduction and overview. can you check and give your feedbacks? The diagrams demonstrate the current aspects of Southside as well as plans for its modernization. Overall, it is clear that, as planned, current buildings will be demolished in order to make way for new amenities and stores at the nearby car park and green space, or some of them will be extended or redeveloped.

Overall, the expansion focuses on creating a nodal town consisting of a dual carriage road and increased housing. It also creates an access for pedestrians or passers-by, a bus station, a larger shopping centre and a new parking area.

The two maps depicts the current Islip town center and the proposed development. Currently, Islip town center consist of shops which can be located at the south of country side, where the main road is located inbetween. The housing is found at the middle of school and park. It is clear that the proposed plan is the construction of a dual carriageway that encirles the town center. Shops that are located at the North side will make way for bus station, shopping centers, car park and the allocation of new housing. Meanwhile, the main road will be for pedestrians only in the plan. Park will be reconstructed where new housing will be located east of old houses.

Generally, planned to surround the centre is a dual carriageway which is expected to facilitate traffic when new residential infrastructures are in operation at the expense of a row of shops and nearby rural area.

Two maps demonstrate the current state and future development plans for town centre of Islip. Overall, these changes have added areas and more housing and some expansion of the roads with more features for pedestrians. Currently the town centre has a main road (which is accompanied with two large stores), two housing area, a school and an area for a medium sized park. As for the final state of Islip town that have been shown on the second map there are some clear visuals that describes the extended sections as well as demolished ones. The most noticeable change is the road splitting into two separate ways that covers the centre town from west to east. The previous location of the main road would be taken by an area for pedestrian's only. The north shopping place would be replaced by 4 different sections: a bus station, one shopping centre, parking space and the remaining would be used for new housing. Also there would be another new housing in the south which is in cornered by the new carriageway. With the new dual carriageway the park would reduce it's size due to lack of space.

In the present, the mall consists of only a supermarket, department store, cinema, noodle shop and cafe with a children’s play area and toilet facilities. In the east part of the centre we can spot a Golf course right next to a park, while to the south of the there is a car park and fitness centre.

Thanks for the lesson Alex. Here is my write-up, please do have a look. The maps illustrates Islip town centre at the moment and its planned redevelopment. Overall, the town centre is going to be bigger with more varieties of buildings such as new housings, car park, shopping centre at the expense of its countryside and its shops located on the north of the current main road. There is a new dual carriageway circular road encircling the town centre while the current main road is becoming a pedestrian-only road. Currently, the town centre has one main road with shops on the north and south sides. To the north side there is also a countryside area. On the south side of the main road, in addition to shops, there are two housing areas, a park and a school. According to the proposed plan, the south side shops to the main road, a school, and two housing areas remain. The main road remains but its function is changed to a pedestrian-only road. To the north of this road, the current shops and countryside are making way to a new housing area, a carpark, a shopping centre and a bus station. In southern side of the town centre, there are a new housing area and a smaller park. The north and south sides of the town centre are now encircled by a dual-carriageway circular road.

The provided two maps delineate the present position and planning for future development of Islip town center. Overall, the main goal is to expand the town towards country side, for ease transport facility by developing planed expanded roadways, and modernising the overall look of the town for the convenience of people.

The two maps illustrate the town of Islip in its current form and the expected expansion. Overall it is clear that the plan is to create extra space for more housing units with the idea to turn the center into a residential villa with easy access to the station and supermarket. The current plan shows a road running across the town center flanked by shops on either side. To the south side of the shops are housing units with a school to the left of the units and a car park to its right Regarding the future plan, it is expected that the housing units, school, and car park from the original site will remain. The most significant development is a dual carriage road which will run around the town center including the addition of a bus station, shopping center, car park, and new housing units which will take up the area previously occupied by shops. The park will be resized to allow for more housing units.

240 words The two maps show the outlook of the town center of Islip in its current state and what it would look like after redevelopment. Overall, the developers have decided to expand the town center in order to accommodate more settlers. The significant changes are the dual carriageway introduced that goes round the center, using up the countryside space up north and the two new housing schemes. Currently, Islip town center only consist of a main-road in between two lines of shop, a park, a school, housing areas on the south and middle as well as the earlier mentioned countryside far north. According to the proposal, only one line of shops, the school and housing area to the south will be preserved. The main road will be remodeled to a pedestrian way leading to the entrance of a new housing area now occupying the space of the demolished line of shops. Also situated in this area will be a new car park, a bus station and a shopping center. To the south, an additional housing scheme will be introduced which will absorb part of the park space. Regardless of the new carriageway built, entry and exit to the town remain at the eastern and western ends, although, there will be a slight shift downwards towards the south. This is to enable usage of a small entry from the eastern part of the carriageway to the new housing scheme northward.

The two maps show the Islip town centre as it is now and its future form post redevelopment. Overall, it is clear that the main road , which is currently dividing the shops into 2 different parts of the land is going to be converted into a ring road and it will the dual carriageway. So that all shopping area is now accessible for shopping by the pedestrians only and the entire town is well connected by the road. Also, the school and south housing areas will remain untouched.

hello miss, thank you so much for this effective lesson. i have a query to ask. will it be good idea to use 3 detail paragraphs instead of 2? for example one for new additions another for the structures which were relocated and the final one to mention the unchanged ones. how will it affect my band score?

Overall, it is shown a significant change in the central area like the main road being transformed into an area for pedestrians only. The dual carriage way will serve as a mean of transportation for the drivers. Interestingly, the shopping area will expand and will have a new shopping center, bus station and new housings.

The town of Islip is potentially undergoing redevelopment. These two maps illustrate the proposed plan. Overall, the town centre shops are separated by the main road. It is surrounded by the countryside and housing. Presently, the town centre has two shops, which are divided by a main road. One is facing the countryside, whereas the other is facing the town. South of the second shops are the residence's house's, a school and a park. In the new plan, a dual carriageway will surround the town centre, engulfing new houses and services. These include, a bus station, shopping centre and a car park. Although, a road will still demarcate the centre it will be designated for pedestrians only. External to the dual carriage way will be the school and housing.

Overall, it is clear that the town centre will be expanded and a variety of new services in the form of a bus station, a shopping centre, a car park and new housing projects will come up. These will be constructed at the expense of the northern row of shops as well as by reducing the park area. Northward extension into the countryside will occur to make way for the dual carriageway, which will function as a ring road to the town centre.

I would really appreciate someone marking this task along with useful suggestions. The two maps illustrate the current situation as well as the redevelopment schemes of a town named Islip. Overall, it is clear that the plan is to enlarge the town area and introduce several features, including a dual carriageway while demolishing certain existing ones. At present, the town center consists of a school, park, and shops on either side of the main road. Countryside extends towards the north while there are facilities for housing with school and park on either side in south direction. According to the redevelopment plans, only the school, housing, reduced park, and shops in the southern part of the main road which will be recognized as a pedestrian-only route will remain from the existing place. The most significant development will be the introduction of a dual carriageway around the town which encircles the northern countryside along with the housing and park in the southern territory. However, the school and a housing service will exist outside the road. Spaces available from the countryside and nearby shops in the northern part will be utilized by a Bus station, Shopping center, Car park, and new housing with clear access. Further, the park will be diminished in size along with the establishment of new housing. (205 words)

We can see in the plans for the development of the shopping mall that the golf course and the park make way for the expansion. To keep up with the new size of the shopping mall, the car park also gets bigger. To keep up with the new store layout, one more entrance is added.

I am sharing my whole piece The 2 maps represent and delineate key features of the ISLIP area(center of a town) both in the present structure and proposed develop. Overall, it's obvious that the proposed development contains more blocked areas and shops instead of the 2 shops across the roads in the present structure. In the new map, furthermore, there are additional roadways and dualisation of the previous carriage ways which encircle the center and the structure therein. Clearly in the present structure, there are two opposite shops across a main road which runs from west to eastern axis, behind these two shops lying the countryside and housing at their north and south pole respectively. Importantly, however, at the end of the west and east carriage ways sitting a school and a park in that order. In contrast, the new plan highlight more congested center area with many shops, additional carpark, new housing just lying across the previously known main road which is being replaced as a bridge in the new plan for people walking. Additionally, theres a circumferential dualisation of the carriage ways, which is occupying the country side space at the north pole and linking the school, park and housing together. Thank you

Thank you very much for these great explanations. They help a lot. I have a small question. "There will, however, be nowhere to eat as plans show the cafe will become an information centre." Don't you think the above sentence is slightly(nowhere to eat) giving an own opinion? My take Intro - The two maps show Southside on its present-day layout and the future expansion plan for the mall. overview - Overall, the Southside will expand its spaces, thereby occupying more sales areas for the department store and shops replacing the exterior parks and golf course. The current Southside includes a golf course and park on the right side of the mall. The mall itself has prominent cinemas, a noodle shop, a play area, a cafe shop, department store, restrooms, supermarket, and one entrance-exit door. In front of the mall lies a fitness center and a small car park. The new plan of the Southside mall will overtake the spaces occupied by the golf course and park. Inside, beauty salon, shoe store, cosmetics store, gift shop, and shoe store will be replaced by the play area, noodle shop, and cinemas. The department store will be expanded twice the original size with its own entrance-exit door. The former cafe shop will be replaced by the information center. However, the supermarket will remain along with the toilets for men and women. Next to it will open three fashion stores. The car park will occupy the entire storefront, replacing the fitness center.

The maps show the center of a small town called Islip in its present form and proposed changes for its redevelopment . Overall, The proposed plan will add more establishment in the North part of the town center and in the East part there will be a new housing and making a dual carriageway around the town. Currently, Islip Town center only have shops after the countryside, main road in between the shops, housing, school and a park. According to the development plan, only the school, shops after the main road and the park will remain from the original place. The most significant development will be the adding of additional three different establishment in the shopping area before the main road the bus station, car park and new housing where it will overtake most of the space for the shops making shop size smaller. The Main Road will be converted to pedestrians too and a dual carriageway around the town will be added. There will also be a new housing project next to the park in south part of the town.

The two maps shows the current status and proposed development of Islip Town centre. Overall, it is clear that the plan is to expand the centre as well as modify the design to create more space for commercial purposes. Moreover, the countryside area is accupied and dual carriageway is introduced for convenient traffic flow around. Currently, the centre has the main road expanding from west to east and shops are available on both sides of the road. The main road also leads to the parking area and to the housing and school area. To the north, countryside area is present and to the south alongside the park, housing as well as school facilities are available. In the proposed development plan, the main road would become pedestrians way and dual carriageway will be introduced. Shops on one side of the main road would be converted into bus station, shopping centre , car park and new housing. The old parking area gets less space and new housing is made along the old parking. The housing as well as school facilities will be at the same place as before.

The given maps illustrate the structure of how a center, in a small town called Islip, is presently and the plans for its development in the future. It is evident that the plan is to greatly expanse this area, with major changes in its accessibility and shopping attractions. Currently, the plan shows one main road that travels from west to east through the small center. On the northern and southern side of the main road sits several shops. More southerly, there are housing structures as well as a school and a park at the eastern side of the center. In addition, two side roads branch off from the main road. One on the western side that passes in front of the school and the other on the east heading towards the park According to the proposal, only the shops on the southern side of the main road, the school and housing structures and the park remain unchanged. The most significant development is the addition of a dual carriageway that will surround the entire center and the before main road will only be used by pedestrians. In the north of the map, the erections of a bus station, a shopping center, a car park as well as a new housing area will be all new future developments.

The second map shows the planned development of the mall in which, only the supermarket and the toilet facilities remain in the same place. The department store gets bigger and is assigned a separate entrance. The cinemas, food stores and child play area completely disappear from within the mall. Instead, three new fashion stores are added along with two shoe stores, a cosmetics store, gift shop and a beauty salon. At the outside of the mall, the golf course and park make way for the expansion and disappear. The fitness centre is also removed to make way for the expansion of the car park.

I would like to contribute my answer. Feel free to scrutinize. The illustration drawing represents a map of the current status and plan for renovation of Southside Shopping Mall. Overall, major changes in plan development are the expansion of supermarkets and the addition of several personal care shops. Additionally, the center of the mall will extend and exclude food stalls and nature areas to make way for the building of a department store and additional shops. In the present day, on the northside of the shopping mall, you can locate the play area, noodle shop, and cinema. And then, in the southeast part, which is the entrance, next are the supermarket and the comfort area, which are mainly on the south side, while the café is on the west side of the entrance. The department store is located to the east of the center mall, while the golf course with green space is further out on the east side of the mall. On the other hand, the renovation plan of the shopping mall will retain the entrance, the supermarket, and the comfort room from their current designation. Car park extension that will accommodate the whole south area and eliminate the fitness center. Building a huge department store with a separate entrance at the expense of nature space on the far east side of the mall. Addition of the shoe store and the fashion store. Replacing the play area, cafe, noodle shop, and cinema into a beauty salon, cosmetics store, and gift shop.

The current plan of the southside includes a mall having supermarket, department store, cafe, pay areas and cinema. There is also a small car park, a fitness center, a small park adjacent to golf course in the current plan. However, the city administration has suggested some alterations in the current plan, that include expansion of car park, mall area and a bigger department store. Proposed plan also include the removal of golf course, park and removal of fitness center. Moreover, cafe, play area, cinema and noodle shop will be replaced by info center, beauty salon, shoe stores, cosmetic store and gift shop. New fashion stores are also included in the proposed plan.

The two maps describe Islip town Centre in its present form and it’s proposed renovation. Overall, the plan will focus more on renovating the countryside into a city, by demolishing the shops to building infrastructures like bus station, shopping centre, and car parks and new residential areas. However, for easier accessibility to these amenities, a dual carriageway will be constructed extending round the center of the town.

The above two images show the town centre of Islip in its current form and its renovation plan. Overall, Islip's town centre is going to be reconstructed with an eye on the future with a brand new dual carriageway, a bus station, a shopping centre, and a car park. Currently, the town centre has the road main road, whose sides are surrounded by a series of shops, cutting right through it. On the northern side, there is farmland and on the southern part, a school and a residential complex are present. In the middle, there's a park adjacent to another residential complex which is connected by a small road leading to the main road. The plan for the reconstruction will completely change the outlook of the town centre. Firstly, a new double carriageway will surround the bus terminal, shopping complex, car park, and new housing complex. This housing complex is to be connected to the new dual carriageway in order to make the commute easy for its residents. In the middle area, there will be a pedestrian way which is to be followed by a shopping lane. In addition to the existing housing complex in the southern part of the map, new housing buildings to be built. Unfortunately, the park's size is going to decrease significantly. And the countryside is nowhere to be seen.

Overall, it is clear that the plan is to extend the centre to a nearby countryside allowing for more housing and other facilities at the expense of shops in the north of the centre. Moreover, the whole centre is planned to be surrounded by a ring road.
