This gave me so much validation. 4 years owning an ‘02 M3 and I’ve put about that much into it to keep it running.

Yah they require a lot to keep running, but definitely worth it imo

Nice car! Great to see how much you put into it. Most are normal wear and tear items, and this is the price to pay if you want to take an older car and make it drive like new! I don't keep track of the money I put into mine (too scared), but I consider it an investment towards many good years of driving fun ahead. Sub'd look forward to updates!

Yah for sure. I'm picky about how I want my car to drive. Summing the totals was scary 😭

Yah they require a lot of work. But it's so worth it to me. Good luck on your 330!

Probably budget 3-4k (maybe more) on parts and labor. Thing about those jobs, you tend to do a bunch of small other things while doing them. Subframe for instance, you're likely to change the subframe and diff bushings

I had mine done for around 2k I bought the parts and paid labor for $1300

how much do you think the e60 m5 will cost ?
@tp_e464 жыл бұрын
I heard they a lot more maintenance heavy. (throttle actuators, rod bearings etc) so if your looking for one, make sure you have a some money set aside just for maintenance.
@hardipusa4 жыл бұрын
@@tp_e46 sounds good, so the e46 m3 doesn't need/have rod bearings, just valve adjustments correct?

This is a prime example of why vehicle related debt is so high nowadays. You’d think people were racing these on tracks spending such moronic sums on these cars. Sure someone will see you in it, think cool car and then quickly forget how you even looked within a few seconds after that. After all everyone nowadays has a BMW or Mercedes on finance. I really hope you have money to burn, otherwise this is just moronic.

Been absolutely fine since. Sure they're expensive cars to maintain and it's not worth it for some people, but for others it is
