How to fix Free play in E46 M3 diff without changing the complete LSD? This video is about differential rebuild, presenting all parts included in the RacingDiffs LSD Rebuild pack for BMW E46 M3.
Almost every E46 M3 Factory LSD unit has problem with the free play in the right drive shaft. That can be recognized by noticing a ‘’tap’’ sound when engaging into 1st gear, and/or the oil leak on right side of the differential. This problem can cause further damage to your differential e.g. clutches and bearings’ premature wear due to the lack of oil. It is highly recommended to address this as soon as possible.

Great Production! I went through the problem of the diff making that sound in slow parking lot driving but it never happened when driving hard. I had to replace the fluid in it with the genuine BMW LSD diff fluid then it cured the problem. That was four years ago and no problems since.

My noise was BAD! I used the BMW fluid for the M5, I believe. It took 500 miles before the diff was silent again.

Any LSD options for the 350z VLSD? I know i asked this on a couple comments but i didnt check to see if u answered one of them. I want to fully upgrade my VLSD on my 350z
