@@realartiststudios I do. Couple of days ago I decided to try an abstract painting with a pallette knife. It glided so nicely with oil paint, making long wavy strokes... So I ended up ditching the original plan for an abstract composition and intuitively glided out a bunch of tulips. They are rather abstract of course, but not nearly as abstract as the planned composition.

There's this 'unknown' component to painting with a palette-knife, that intuitively we deem not 'normal' and we should not attempt being in the unknown....yet it's the unknown that I find brings comfort and keeps propelling me forward. Good on you for creating those tulips. Keep gliding that paint.

This appears to be a very useful INSTRUCTIONAL video. SO why is there music playing in the background ? I am one of those people who has trouble deciphering a conversation in a noisy restaurant (the filter is just not there). Please, the music is just a horrible distraction. Thanks.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'changing the shape of the palette-knife at the tip"? What I think you are referring to is my favorite knife that I use, which is the first knife that I am demonstrating. The shape of that palette-knife is a little warped and distorted due to ware and tare. I've had that knife for well over 6 years and because of constant use, its shape has changed. Hope this helps.
