Hey EagleFan! As good as they are in the studio they are even more impressive Live! Lovebites is not only a power metal band, they are inspired by bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Metallica, Slayer and so on. So their sound varies quite a bit, they also play thrash metal, heavy metal, rock and even some excellent ballads. The guitarist on the right in this video in black hair is Miyako their main composer and she is a classically trained pianist so you will hear a lot of symphonic elements in their playing. Also all of their lyrics are 100% in English. I suggest you take a look at their songs "Edge of the World", "Swan Song" (with the piano intro), "Holy War" all LIVE at Zepp Divercity 2020 (also known as their DVD Five of a Kind). Nice reaction! You've basically stumbled upon one of the best bands on the planet. Lovebites plays mostly classic power and thrash metal, being heavily influenced by Iron Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer, etc. I hope you do more reactions to this epic band. Recommended songs to react to next are Break the Wall, Edge of the World, Epilogue, Swan Song and Holy War, just to start with. They have over 40+ songs in their catalog, and they've only been around since 2017! Try to do stick with the LIVE concert videos. This is where they really shine. Avoid any videos from Bloodstock, the audio is terrible.

Nice reaction and yeah, they are one of the best metal band in the world. You'll love the fact how much they experiment with sound and blend together different genres and stuff. You definitely need to listen to more of their trashy stuff like Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O. and etc. :) Some heavy/speed like No Time To Hesitate and their ballads also good, but I don't want to spoil it for you, it's better to witness firsthand! Welp and if you are digging japanese metal scene you'll also need to check Nemophila, Band-Maid and Unlucky Morpheus for starters!

Yeah mate you just open the pandora box. You just sow the winners of Metal Hammer Golden gods awards for 2018 year in category best new metal band. Lovebites are formed 2016 in Tokyo from ex Destrose band members Miho the bassist and composer ( she is the band leader) and Haruna the drummer ( best female power metal drummer in the world at the moment) the other members are Asami the vocalist,songwriter and composer ( she was R&b and jazz soul singer before to join the band) Midori the lead guitarist and backing vocals with the blonde hair ( one of the fastest female guitarists in the world at the moment, demon of the guitar, she compose too) and Miyako the other lead guitarist, pianist and composer ( she is the main composer of the band) . They are the best all female power metal band in the world at the moment. Miho the bassist mentioned once in interview- we are here to make something memorable. They are actually from Osaka Japan but do most shows in Tokyo, it's amazing how the mainstream media fans are skipping all of their older stuff and jumping straight to the newest song from the newest EP just released on the 10th of this month. Let's see if you go anywhere with Lovebites as I have seen multiple reactors who only do one song because it becomes part of the mainstream. I really do hope like them enough to showcase them very often on your channel. the other mainstream crap you have checked out has nothing on these beautiful ladies as far as talent is concerned

You've found the best metal band to come out in the last 35-ish years. These ladies are all professionals and can flat out rock. If you like Iron Maiden or Judas Priest, you might try Lovebites "The Crusade" or Shadowmaker. I like your channel, keep rockin.

You could have asked a bunch of comic-book artists to design a band of alien superheroes, disguised as beautiful women who use music to battle darkness, and they could not have come up with this. Some background: They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music, but Midori has also been getting into the act, and Asami writes a lot of the lyrics. They have only been around for a little over 4 years. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and it seems clear they’re taking it to another level. This is one of their most recent releases, off their new EP. They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two shredders are very different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist-she only picked up guitar when she was 18. They are amazing live. Gentlemen such as myself and yourself who have, ahem, a longer term appreciation of the genre know that it suits the genre perfectly. You will be hard pushed to find a track you will not like. Every song has different elements of rock and metal. Miho, the bass player is a massive Iron Maiden fan and you can here strong Iron Maiden influences in some of their songs. Lovebites latest EP, Glory, Glory, To The World, has a more symphonic/prog rock influence to it. The Lovebites lady's play this well live. Through the excellent audio and backing mixing for the live shows, the songs sound as good if not better live. Should you see a request for a song from the Bloodstock Festival, please avoid it as the audio through no fault of Lovebites is very poor. All the other live material is first class.

Asami, a vocalist who was originally an R & B singer, had hardly heard any metal music and had no knowledge of it. When she was first invited to the band as a vocalist, she sounded out the band members that she should change her vocal style to a metallic one. But the band members said you don't have to change it because it's more unique. Therefore, some people may feel uncomfortable with her non-metallic singing style. By the way, Asami used to take classical ballet lessons between the ages of 2 and 14, so when she sings, her unique movements become natural.
