Although I don't have a solo vocal performance of hers to compare it to I can 100% believe that Momo's sense of fun and performance would make her decide to throw out a massive growl at the start and then sing the rest of her part in an exaggerated kawaii style, just because it would surprise people.

Momo is such a great addition to Babymetal! This is a really weird compilation, but it's about all we got for now. Hopefully when the blu-ray is released we get the real deal and can set this Frankenstein abomination aside.

Great reaction, thanks! Yes, she freaking growled! As Su-metal said, Momometal is their new weapon. And I'm so glad she is showing her "fangs", adding a feature that both Su and Moa weren't able to provide, as they mentioned in an interview. I agree: the visuals are too distracting, a mash-up actually. Also the video lacks the whole intro when Momometal enters the stage in a very spectacular way. Also the previous lore, briefly explaining her origins and the difficulties she has been through. I was there in the venue and it was one of the best live experiences in my life. Yes I've been to several BABYMETAL concerts, in arena-size shows like these two Legend-MM concerts and also in smaller venues, being at like 7 ft from the stage. Very different experiences but each one was extremely good and enjoyable. And yes, I'm attending my next BABYMETAL show in a couple of weeks in Toulouse, France. 🤘🦊

MomoBangyaaaaa!!!!! 🦊🤘🍑 Yep, MomoMetal does the growls at RATATATA when saying the "Are you ready?!" repeat and "Everybody" at the end. Also when performing METALI!! live she said "Are you ready?" after her solo dance. If you wanna watch the original full clip search in alternative platforms and social networks such FB.

Personally, Im not going to care if Momo's harsh vocals/growls are prerecorded or not. As long as it's her own voice, and it sounds like it to me, then thats all that matters to me. It takes a ton of practice and time to be able to do anything vocally with consistent perfect results, and that is without the added dancing! So, IF they are prerecorded, it makes sense to me why they would do that.

Hahahaha, nice reaction 😄 Eyes getting really wide at the first "sight" of "Momozilla" 🤣 "Momobanger" is an extremely special version, in many aspects. I will elaborate a bit, sorry in advance for the wall of text! This isn´t done in just one sentence 😉 As the "Legend MM" concerts where announced in 2023, there was a BUZZ online, about if we´re going to see a "Momobanger" performance. That was a biiiig wish of the fans, obviously. But it wasn´t granted that we get "Momobanger", tho! Okay, it´s some kind of tradition, and "the forms must be obeyed!" 😉, but there was no promise that such a thing would be performed at that concerts, not at all. Most people speculated, if Momo would growl at certain parts of the song, IF it would be performed, and some said that she HAS to do growls in it, nonetheless. So, another big wish of the fanbase, more Momogrowls! The evening of the "20 Night" came, and everybody, be it the people at the PIA Arena, or all the people all over the world waiting for concert reports, were SO curious about, if there will be "Momobanger". Then, during the concert, a lore video appeared, obviously talking about Momo. Okay, it´s her birthday show, there has to be some "Momo talk", no? Then a graphical art thing came into sight, it was the single CD cover of "Headbangerrrrr!!!!". At first glance, the one we know already. So, "Headbangerrrrr!!!!" is about to be performed. You could hear the bewilderment of the crowd, as it still wasn´t set in stone, which version of "Headbanger" it will be... until more of the cover graphics came into sight, showing the cover graphics MODIFIED to Momometal in the (at that time) current outfit! Such a thing was never done before! You could hear the crows roaring loudly to this. The crowd roared, because NOW it was clear to see for everybody, that the eagerly awaited "Momobanger" performance is indeed ahead! After that, another HUGE novelty: a platform hovered down from the roof of the venue, while the organ opening of "Headbangerrrrr!!!!" was playing. "Who is standing on this thing?" might be the question of many people witnessing that. Well, it was Momometal! Momometal front and centre, right at the beginning of "Headbangerrrr!!!". Wow! Then "Just what I was expecting, let’s see what Momo has." 🤣 The rest is history 😉 Summary: the "Legend MM 20 Night" concert was a (late birthday) gift from MOMO to the fans! She gave our biiiig wish to us, and she did it in a fascinating and overwhelming way! As did team BABYMETAL with all the lore thing, the "UFO" platform and whatnot! That was the first time I know of, that a performance like that was done according to the wishes and phantasies of most members of THE ONE. It was clear that they would surpass those wishes and phantasies, tho, it´s BABYMETAL we´re talking about here 🤣 I don´t think that anybody thought of the special CD cover art, modified to Momometal, or the "Momo! Front and centre!" thing at the beginning of the song. An outstanding performance!

This is a compilation unfortunately. I believe Legend MM is due for release on blu-ray later this year so hopefully theye will be an official version of Momo-banger. The 🍑 Princess has fangs :) as IAMisLove stated, in RATATATA when Kevin has the electrical cable at the end he growls "Wait a minute", Momo replies "Are you ready?" she also does the "Everybody". there are other versions of this song where Yui and Moa sing around their 15th birthday, the quality isnt as good in those versions as they are cell phone versions.

Unsuspecting EaglesFan: “Just what I was expecting, let’s see what Momo has.” Momozilla: “SURPRISE MUTHA*****!!” 🤣🤣 Ratatatata: The second “ARE YOU READY!?!?!” is pure Momometal, Kevin’s mouth was closed. The “Everybody” and “Out of control!” sounds like Kevin and Momo growling. Also more prominent in the Ratatata live that just dropped. Moa in a recent interview: “…try as we might, but we [Su and Moa] were never able to do the growls. Momo’s death growls is Babymetal’s new weapon, and her fangs. It’ll be her responsibility from now on…” PS, these video cuts are necessary, to appease the Fox Gods. All other renditions have been nuked to oblivion lol. Show was Legend MM for Momo’s 21st birthday, and it was Mar 2nd/3rd. BluRay ships July 10th, thus the strict copyright issues. 🤘🦊

The only question I have is how long had Koba, Momo and the girls have been training/preparing for this before she was inducted as a full member... growling vocals ain't easy, and not something you pull off overnight... Though this compilation vid sucked, the roar from the crowd was very real, when Momo took the mic and she deserves it. 😁😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘

This compiled version was bad for me because there are many random scenes thrown in the middle, such as Su appearing to sing while Momo's voice comes out. There is a version that does not have this edition on KZfaq.

Momo growls a couple of times in RATATATA. The second "ARE YOU READY?" at the start of the breakdown and "EVERY BODY" at the end

She growls but due to security reasons not on stage. She has so much to do on stage that she mught loose her muscle tention, so they decided to record her growls on stage and add it to the mix. There are simply to many things happening on stage that you want to risk accidents, so on stage she simply has to make the mouth movement but her throat musculature has to do nothing. But she has already started to call her growls her fangs.

Great reaction - and I completely agree, it is a horrible compilation, there are just too many clips from too many different concerts and seeing Su singing but hearing Momo's voice - that is just so wrong! Loads of others below already confirmed Momo's growls - or her "fangs".
