This is the best live song I have ever heard. Probably better than the recorded one. The fact that the drummer is the lead vocalist and sings just like in the recorded version or probably better, blows my mind. Mad respect!

This is the reason I started playing guitar in the 70’s when I was 12 years old. Turning 60 soon, 6 kids 8 grandkids later, still playing guitar, teaching three generations after me guitar and it all began with this song on this album many moons ago. Thank you Don and Joe.

Not many bands sound as good live as they do in the studio, but Eagles were able to take an already perfect song like Hotel California and make it sound even better live. This is one of the best live performances ever and I'm not sure if any band will ever come close to how great Eagles were again.

The way some songs make us feel such nostalgia, the emotional trip… i wasnt even born until 2 decades after this was release…. I wish everyone had the chance to experience it. I hope we humans dont ever forget that on top of technology, intelligence, medicines, there is music. Our most precious gift. I’m not a religious person, but if I feel the need to pray one day, I know music will be my focus. From Mike Oldfield to Gojira, from Alfonso X to Mark Knopfler. Eminem to Petrucciani. Alan Parson, and every other one we are lucky enough to keep close to us. If music can make us connect love and tolerate each other, well, we created it. That’s within us. This was in 1977, we're in 2023 now and yet it's so hard to find artists who can sing live that well! I'm a guy who is into almost all genres of music. Blues, jazz, rock, dance, hip-hop, raggae, trap, rnb, you name it, if it sounds good, i like it, but this piece right here is special. Defenitely holds a spot in my top 10 songs of all time. Glad that you're here too, seems you've got a pretty good taste in music as well🙏🏼❤️

I am now 74+ years old, and am still enjoying this sublime musical song in Bangladesh, reliving my memories of having discovered the Eagles way back in 1977 while I was there in England as a student! Fond memories of the ambience of this eternal masterpiece.

❤ I first encountered this song when I was in junior high school.❤ I was deeply moved and impressed.❤ I would listen to this song and study English hard until late at night, ❤dreaming of studying abroad in America someday.❤ But my father didn't allow me to study abroad.❤ But I chose to pursue a career in the arts in Japan and have lived my life ever since.❤ Now I have three beautiful children.❤ Every time I listen to this song, I remember the fun days when I was young and studied late at night in junior high school.❤ Hotel California....it was my dream and my longing.❤ I live in Japan now, but Hotel California, it will always be my longing and my dream. I still love this song with all my heart.❤

There is a reason anytime a poll is taken of the greatest rock songs of all time, this masterpiece composition is at least in the top 3 if not #1 itself. Like a fine wine, it only gets better with age. And in my humble opinion, this version, when the Eagles were at their pinnacle, is the best version ever recorded.
