Ironically my favorite Eagles song features one of the rare tracks Timothy B Schmit was given lead vocals on. His voice is terrific here. Love Don's drumbeat with the organ/synthesizer playing opposite that awesome guitar solo to fade out. It sounds even more delicious with your headphones
@jefffigola88268 жыл бұрын
Well said, the headphones make the song even more amazing. It really brings the bass by Timothy B. Schmit and keyboards by yes, Joe Walsh to life, along with the guitar riffs by Glen Frey and Don Felder, and as you mentioned smooth drumming of Don Henley.

+Johnny Matthew actually Glenn Frey played the lead guitar parts on the original recording. There was an old promotional video for this song after it came out that showed Felder playing the solos in the studio as the camera panned around the whole band. But Frey did the leads, I just confirmed it on Wiki cause I wasn't positive. It threw me too, cause I used to think Frey never touched a solo again post-'75 after recruiting the dynamic duo of Walsh/Felder...
