Man I love this inside scoop. This is my dream to be able to work within one of these organizations and be a part of these huge drafts and events. They skipped the touching part of the Lurie/Trotter talk where Lurie expressed to him how much he loved his mother, Trotter Sr.’s wife, who passed of cancer this past year. It was genuine and poignant. Lurie is one of the best owners in sports.

The transparency of the room is another reason why I love the Eagles

Its kinda flown under the radar how incredible the Eagles production team is these days. I remember about 5 years ago being bummed because the video content was among some of the worst in the league among teams. Now this content is among the best. I could legit watch this kind of stuff on a loop

Im trying to buy into these guys being better at evaluating college talent than John Lynch. I see us picking the more talented players but other teams who have guys who have played the game making personnel decisions understand the process of player growth and development. They seem to understand you have to put talent on the field and let them play and live with their mistakes. A guy like Jalyx Hunt will never develop if he doesn’t play early you don’t develop a player by making him inactive on game days. Maybe a few guys around the league develop that way but the tried and true method for best results is to play your draft picks early. Its no cheating the learning curve last year’s in game experience for guys like Carter, Davis, Blankenship, Dean, Ringo, Ricks, Van Sumeren was invaluable. They should be more advanced in the understanding of the game than other young players because they consistently took live reps in NFL games not just practice and preseason. If you want to develop talent continuity you cant keep turning over the head coaching position. Give him time to develop these young players. Most rookies are not usually going to play anywhere near a pro bowl level. We would bench Nolan Smith if he’s not playing at Reddick’s level this year in his 2nd year and then come yr 3 he doesn’t have enough live in-game experience so he’s making mistakes because he’s never gotten the opportunity to play and grow. We will continue to do things our way and wonder why other teams draft picks develop into elite players. Its player development, consistent in game experience and learning from mistakes. Our coaches need to have the coaching acumen to unlock the physical tools in these players bodies. Also, the wisest coaches adjust their schemes to fit their players abilities. Jalen Hurt is not a volume passer. Kellen Moore is not going to change a player’s instincts when Hurts gets pressure he’s looking to run or throw the ball out of bounds not find his 2nd, 3rd or 4th options. If you wanted a volume passing game you should have drafted that type of passer not a run oriented Quarterback. They made Brian Johnson and Desai the scapegoats because they put more emphasis on passing the ball towards the end of the season and Hurts struggled after the Buffalo game. We are built to run the ball because while Hurts can make throws from a clean pocket he gets taken out of his comfort zone in obvious passing situations when his legs dont pose a threat, when the pocket gets muddy or he’s forced to make throws off schedule. I noticed whenever teams take away our running game we struggled to consistently move the chains.

I gotta say the eagles media team does a phenomenal job getting me absolutely fired up for the season. 💚🦅
