well, it is, but do you know what's funny? it is sewed in the same factory like clothes from Stradivarius for example, the people sew it for 0,60 dollars (example, sometimes it is 1 dollar) and this old man sells it for hundreds.

It depends on where you live. Here in Spain is pretty cheap, or average price. But I saw the same shirt in U.K. that costed at least twice the price than here.

Going for affordable yet stylish attire, smart. There are only so many rich people to buy luxury brands like Fendi and Hugo Boss so Ortega made the right decision. It would explain why Wal-Mart is the largest retailer too.

To all the people complaining about someone making money off of the workers hard work. You must be spinning your own yarn and looming your own fabric, on your farm where you grow your food, etc. Props to you, but most people in this country (US) live off the work of someone else. And most of us are doing that said work.

Real luxury is lifestyle not clothing. One of the richest guys in the world wears the same thing everyday but people still try to chase luxury by buying clothes from Zara or H&M. I just find it ironic how Ortega has the fast fashion market dominated (which revolves around always buying trends) when he never does and profits off those who do. Also sometimes the more expensive brands do have better quality BUT the massive price increase does have a lot to do with the brand itself.

I've seen The True Cost before. By 'choice', I mean, to work or not to work. In a county where the population exceeds the number of jobs available, the 'Job Market' will show its true colors. Plus if there were no MNCs in countries like Bangladesh and so on, their condition would be much worse off than, say, Somalia. Now you tell me how, in the absence of these companies, these people would have a better life living off of the small crumb of the pie that they have.

slavery? the company that does the slavery is outsource company is paying outsource company to make their cloth make those company owned by zara? geez, people are ignorant, you know what is outsource? it means to pay other company to make cloth for your company then why it become Zara fault? you don't praise their anti toxin commitment, yet when some bad thing happen you shout like a headless chicken its feel great right to blame other rich people, of course, it is an easy target, but if someday you get into their situation, can you bear the blame from ignorant people? even its not your company fault?

How many outsource company hungry for partnership with zara, And they wont show to zara their bad side, how should zara know that outsource company is a bad sweatshop company?, you cant win from people who intent to fool you And sometimes that outsource company throw it to another outsource company, which is make it more tangled And nowaday many of apparel company did do heavy inspection on the outsource company workplace to prevent any kind of sweatshop practice I still think its not fair everybody blame zara, the easiest way is to blame the big name, and you think with blaming zara, thousand of bad slavery sweatshop company will automatic dissapear?, No, they will growing even fast because nobody punish them And you know what? Here is another fact about Zara: they are such a huge client for textile mills to the point that they pay way less then mill asks. Leaving the Mill with very little profit. I work with textiles, Zara is not as nice and charitable as it may seem

Number one, they exploit and underpay their garment workers to get you clothes you 'deserve' that you'll probably throw away after a couple of wears because the quality is in the most part sub-par (deliberate obsolescence), and have no control over illegal sub-contractors who almost always take up excess workload when the commissioned factories can't make the fast turnarounds required by fast fashion. Number two, the 12,000 new designs every year leave you in a permanent state of dissatisfaction because newer is better so your possessions aren't good enough. Number three, the fast fashion cycle Zara employs relies on inefficient means of goods transportation, like environment destroying planes to get garments around the world from design to patterning and test to quality control to dye sampling to fabric to manufacture to warehouse to store in a matter of only 3-6 weeks, rather than using lengthy but less harmful freight shipping.
