Chinese should be encouraged to invest in production of items they export to India and setting a deadline for stopping imports from China, esp the large ticket items.

I do how many Indian entrepreneurs believe that India also can become great in manufacturing competing if this class of people come out of the misgivings about India’s and Indians’ capability ….

None of manufacturers are having interest indigenising the imported items after 1991 liberalisation theory . O Suzuki got set up so many factories around his first plants for auto components but then suddenly all the automobile manufacturers started going to China to get it imported from there. The OEMs in all sector must change their efforts to get it done locally that too of better standard than that of China….

Should India yield to China but before what Indian entrepreneurs doing for investing in manufacturing…..to become like China…

Not sure what CII is doing about the trade balance with China. We need to list all imported items by revenue and look for substitution options. Look at friendshoring that should look at India first and invest in Africa. We also need to look at dumping by categories. China is a govt enterprise, they kill competition and create monopolies. Even the powerful West is struggling.
