The two most important lessons for success are shared by Earl Nightingale in this lecture.
The first rule involves knowing what you want in life and believing that you can achieve it.
The next rule is that of interdependency, you can win or lose in life based on your service to others.

I had listened to him in the 80s, and his message really affected me. My life has gone well in large part to following this philosophy. Now I am in my 60's and I still find listening to his talk very inspirational. Seems we need to be reinspired at different stages of life. Thank you for posting this talk.

Funny, you should mention this, sir. One of my best friends dropped out of college to sell insurance, and started sharing audio cassette tapes with me from the masters of success series. Several of them featured Earl Nightingale‘s messages. It’s funny, listening to these again the truth still remains, and it reminds me of how motivated I wasto finish college when I felt like I had so little left in the tank. Will always be grateful for this man’s messages and the philosophy he put forth to help others.

This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my KZfaq channel 5 months ago about self development. Now I have 293 subs and almost > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I couldn’t have learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@rebekahnorris7392 Thank you! What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd be able to gain more than 2k subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened in 2023. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

Earl was my first mentor in Self Development over 40yrs agoand he help shape and change my life. The Right mind set is everything. Our 9th-12th graders should listen to this daily before and after school to start life with the right plans. Work, Serve and Create in positions and opportunities that can lead t financial independence and financial freedom not just the goal of 40yrs then retire that's not economic freedom that's an illusion of dying broke. I wish I knew his messages in high school to have had an earlier start.

Love that Earl Nightingale credits the Bible as the greatest teaching. Anyone who doesn't believe it has never read it. As a Christian I have to say I never knew how much endless wisdom GOD gave us in the Bible till I read it for myself. Literally thousands of lessons on money, relationships, friends, what to give your attention to. Yes it's a book on how to have a relationship with GOD through JESUS, but it also is full of wisdom for every area of life. Give your life to CHRIST, and start reading HIS word. You wont believe what HE'S going to do in your life!!!

I hope this helps whoever reads it. I followed this for 30 days. My goal was to change my self image and it worked. This is what I did. 1. Write out a statement of your Short Term Goal AND your Chief Aim/Main Goal... on a "goal card" or paper. 2. Write it out 50 times a day for 30 days preferably around the same time each day. After the 30 days, you go back and write it out ONCE a day. This is your compass in life. 3. Set your phone alarm to go off every 3 hours (to disrupt your daily routine) and when it goes off write down your statement and then close your eyes and see yourself with your goal for 2 mins. 4. Record your statement in your voice on a voice recorder on your phone, and play it back to yourself on loop while you sleep and as often as you can daily, example... in the shower or when you are using the rest room. 5. Find an accountability partner. If you cannot find someone, then you MUST write out your statement DAILY. By doing this you make yourself accountable to YOURSELF. 6. Find a community or FB group/group chat, etc and from that community form a Mastermind with one or two people who have studied from REAL Mentors and are giving VALUE. There is a "Law of Giving" and many people are using it. Andrew Carnegie told Napoleon Hill this back in the early 1900s. Its a LAW and it works. Its what I am doing with this post. 7. Auto-Suggest (Think and Grow Rich Chapter 4) to yourself in front of the mirror in the bathroom at least twice a day. Look directly INTO your eyes OR one eye and recite your WRITTEN statement. Then splash cold water on your face. This sudden shock seals the thought into the subconscious due to emotional and physical shock from the cold water. 8. Write out ten "I AM" statements a day. example. I AM happy, I AM more confident. Use the word MORE; implying you already have it, but want more. You trick the brain. 9. Write out 5 things you HAVE that you are grateful for and 5 things that you are grateful for that are coming to you. Mix up the list one after the other. 10. When in public tell people you see that you love them in your mind. Simply say "I LOVE YOU" to them as you pass them, especially when driving, because their subconscious hears and FEELS the intention. Say it to about 10 to 15 people daily. This increases your Good Karma. I hope this helps at least two people. It might seem like a lot. But it took me less than two weeks to incorporate the list into my life and 32 days later I started getting massive results. Thank you for reading.

Amazing content, rings so true and powerful. The contemporary motivational speakers have diluted this golden message so much…

Agreed.. ive listened to Tony Robbins and Jim Rohn for the kast 2 years and as good as they are Earl Nightingale sits right above.. For me there is something fatherly about his advice that resonates with me more than the other two.. I only discovered EN 2 or so months ago... i am very glad I did.. he ties together TR and JM...

I am fortunate I made productive decisions that changed my finances (gathered over 1M in 2years) through my financiaI planner. Got my 2nd house in Feb, and hoping to retire soon. Give this a try and attain good-returns.

My question is about the fundamentals: at this calendar time 2023 , we in Europe and USA have policies of fiscal and cultural socialism, so how then our rewards in life are aligned with the effort we put in on those places ?
