Earl's TRAILBLAZER SS is Back! | INTAKE UPGRADE | DYNO TUNING | 2-Step TEST

We are back at it with the 2006 Trailblazer SS. After successfully making it through Race Week last year and then finally making it into the 11s club, it was time for some improvements! We swapped out the stock intake manifold for a new Fast LSXRT with a 102mm throttle body, pulled some weight, and upgraded the nitrous system.

Glad to see the TBSS back in action!! How does it feel NA with the new manifold vs the stock one?

I can definitely tell the difference. Sounds way different too both when pulling in air and the exhaust. I think the weight loss in the back is helping also.

I just did intake swap on mine along with same fender intake ls7 maf and 102mm tb now it will not idle correct

What TB did you use? My tuner ended up spending over an hour just getting the TB dialed so it would idle.

Unfortunately I did not capture the struggle with the TB on camera. It was a battle fought during the base tune phase so we could drive the car to the shop for the dyno.

Ordered an all aluminum one off Amazon then used black vinyl to cover the center. At this point I'm leaning towards either getting a carbon one or removing it and making a hole for improved airflow.
