The history:
Columbia introduced the table top record players in 1911. This is one of earlier models made. There were two types of table top models: The Favorite and The Savoy model. The Favorite model was the top of the line models it was really popular back in the early 20s. The wood is actually made out of mahogany. This type of players when first made where known for Favorite (50) $50 was the price they sold the record players for when first produced. Later on they made the players out of oak which was more common. Very hard to find a mahogany record player in this amazing condition.
