Ain’t worth much if it never runs though. I’ll take my modern bike with traction controls and a reliable engine any day.

I have owned shovels for the last 38 years, before that pommie bikes as that's all I could afford. If you look after them like any machine they'll look after you.

It's all in the carburetor you need a vacuum gauge to tune it. Very finicky. Also it's a good idea to update the ignition system on those they were always s***

The only problem I saw was the guy killed the engine taking off from a dead stop. That ain't the bikes fault. It started on the first kick so I fail to see what mechanical problem it has.

A couple months after this video, engine came completely out and was completely rebuilt due to everything was completely worn. So yeah. Shovelhead problems.
