When I was in 9th grade (over a decade ago) a lot more of us were broke and not everyone had kicks or elevated streetwear like today but I remember a big homie passed down his old metallic 5s and green beans 5s to me for one of my bdays even tho they were beat up it was crazy getting 2 what seemed unattainable shoes it was like giving a kid a pair of wings. Black Metallic 5's were my first pair of Jordans back in 1990. I did cop these, I'm saying 8 out of 10 on the green beans. I'm a sucker for 3M. My friends would make fun of me back in day when we would sneak out of the house because the tongues of my metallic 5's would reflect light when we were trying to be sneaky. 😆 The things we did for fun before cell phones and social media, simpler times

Green Bean is a fun nostalgic release that I enjoy more seeing other people wear lol. Buckets hit the grade on the nail. Solid 7 at best.

I hope that everyone that says they’ll pass on these won’t switch up suddenly to get these, because I’ve been wanting these since ‘06, but I couldn’t get them then, and most OG pairs are too creased up to get with the 3M material.

I REALLY like these! Muy fuego!

Love the 5’s (I have the off white black, fire red) but there is something about the lighter gray color (3M) that makes it too blah. If they would have thrown in some white or black contrast I think they would be much better.

I think 5’s are definitely slightly on the outer tier of most popular og Jordan models, I think it has allot to do with colorways & color blocking cuz 5’s tend to be a little unimaginative. These are ok nothing I’d be thirsty for 💯

i like the 5s straight out the box. In my experience (the grapes) they crease so bad they're almost unwearable. I get the feeling the green beans will have that same problem.

I can appreciate this pair for what they are but they're a pass for me personally. If there weren't so many great sneakers coming out this year, I think I'd pick up a pair but at some point I gota pull back on my purchases. I do really like the concept of the whole upper being 3M though.

My ex had these back in high school, these were the best shoes she had in her collection lol but I def think these looked better in 06 then now, the 3m on the shoe is just too dark for me.
