In today's video I make my way to Universal Orlando to kick off the new year to experience early park admission which is a great included perk if you stay at any of the Universal hotels or if you are a pass holder. Early park admission gives you access inside one of the parks an hour before the general public is allowed in for the day. Come along with me and see how many attractions I can get done in Islands of Adventure before the afternoon rush. The reason why the portraits in forbidden journey at dumbledores office have their eyes closed is because it’s mentioned in the books that they always pretend to be asleep while the headmaster has guests so they can listen to the conversations, while occasionally can be caught peeking through one of their eyes !

Please, pass holders and hotel guests and anyone that bought their tickets online (also get early entry) are probably 90% of the crowd on any given day..its.nothing.more tgan a selling.point

Hi Dev! I’m a former UOTM and recently worked at Kong for 1.5 years. The ride doesn’t go outside anymore because the outdoor portion of the ride, which we call Scene 2, was damaging the RVs because the pavement outside wasn’t leveled. The back and forth/bumpiness of the road was causing mechanical issues with the trucks, so they decided to keep the ride in bypass mode until a solution is reached to fix the issues with the track outside. From what I understand, a refurbishment of the entire ride, including the outdoor portion was planned, but then COVID happened, and so those plans were scrapped due to budget cuts from the parks being closed. I’ve asked my friends who still work at Kong for updates, but it seems like the ride will be bypassing the outdoor portion for the foreseeable future.

Bro I gotten scheduled the first time and when I was put on grouper I always found it weird for the rv's to not go through the 2nd scene portion but I have seen few people work on it at night though throughout my walks

Wish Disney would stop the Genie Plus and replace with Universals Express pass. No schedules to follow. Just fun :)

the only good thing about genie plus is that if you have an annual pass like I do, Im ok with spending that extra 30.00 for genie plus from time to time, vs if it a 250.00 like Universal is sometimes.

I was not expecting it to be that many people. Velocicoaster is by far the best in Florida. Being able to ride that ride that many times before 9am thats great.

Just FYI, people who book their multi-day UOR tickets through a lovely TA such as myself, also get early park entrance- even if they are staying off property :) Such an awesome perk UOR gives to those who use travel agents!

Ollivanders is a must do, we lucky just walked right in and my daughter got picked. She got the wand too because it was her first time there and she’s just getting into Harry Potter and it was the week before her birthday. It was the most memorable trip to Universal!

I love your videos. As a Canadian that loves Universal we have taken advantage of the Early Park Admission when staying at an onsite hotel. You can definitely get a lot done in the first half of the day and then have a nice midday break at the hotel. Lastly, Go team Hufflepuff 💛

What an amazing day in Universal! I couldn’t help but reminisce about the days you could plan a morning like that in MK or Epcot! You could knock a bunch of rides in the morning then cruise the rest of the day doing whatever you wanted. Glad you had an awesome day Brother and it’s good to see Universal being so good to their guests with the tried and true perks!

That's because Universal is still not as popular as Disney which = less crowded so yeah you can do more, just look at their operation hours an compared them. I can never used my express pass or go to universal during the week because they are always closing early except for Christmas week. So as an AP for Universal and Disney I find myself more at Disney for that and many other reasons.

Stayed at the Cabanah Bay Hotel in October, and I don't think I would ever stay in a Disney hotel again. The value for money you get with Universal in comparison to Disney is night and day.

Last time I was at Islands of Adventure, I went to Velocicoaster during EPA. Didn’t regret my decision. Went on it three times before the regular crowds showed up.

I havent seen people vlogging about the Jason Bourne Stunt show at Universal. This was one of the best live shows I have ever seen!! It was as good as a ride to me. 😂.

Hufflepuff here! We do EPA every time we come to Universal. It is a nice perk. However, we are the "go until you can't" type of people. So we are usually there from park opening to close and crash at the hotel in the evening.

Dev, when I stay at a Universal Hotel, I’m at the bus stop by 6:55. I’m usually to the park entrance by 7ish. Only about ten people back to get in. Park opens about 15 minutes early. Also, the hotel food areas don’t open until 7. So anyone that wants to eat before needs to do grab and go from the day before.

My usual plan is get there an hr early. Hagrids will be a walk on. Then 2x Velocicoaster, FJ, Hippogriph. At 9 hop on train to studios and you can do single riders on Gringots, Mummy, Transformers, MIB, Rip Rocket, then ET all before crouds get crazy. Then back to IOA for Spiderman and whatever else you wish. You can knock out a lot before noon!

Also, for Forbidden Journey don't forget the acromantula scene a giant physical "spider" could also be quite frightening. As for my house, I am Ravenclaw, my wife is Ravenclaw, and my daughter is Gryffindor.

Love this video - watched it twice (once with my husband) 😊 We'll be coming down for our first visit in April with our 18 year old autistic son, and will need to stop into Guest Services to get his AAP. Is that something we can do before the gates actually open to let the EPA guests through? Or is it located on the other side of the entrance and it will eat into our EPA time?

I love Early admission to universal. You must hit Hagrids first. When I went I would get there at the gates by 6:30. That is the best bet to get to the ride early

My personal favorite is Cabana Bay. I love the theming, the pools, and the diner. The bus to the parks is so easy and comes frequently. I've stayed there many times and have always loved it. I prefer an inside room in either the Americana or Continental buildings. I always ask for a room near the main elevators or the walk to the room can be long. Of course Dockside and Surfside are cheaper than CB but I've never stayed at either so I can't say much about them. Have fun!!
