Early Video with Collapse: 2nd alarm fully-involved house fire in Pennsylvania

At 1:40AM Lehigh County 911 transmitted the box for 148 Center Street for a house fire. The 1st alarm assignment consisted of Engine 24, 29, 9, 6, Norco Engine 47, Quint 24 & 29, Rescue 11 (F.A.S.T.) and Medic 67.
Fire dispatcher advised all units that the caller advises fire coming out of all the windows. Police arrived and reported a fully-involved dwelling with an updated address of 209 Center Street. The 2nd alarm was transmitted.
This house was 1868 and is 2,400 square feet.
Early in the video I captured a complete collapse of side 4 of the home. The collapse brought down power lines and just missed firefighters operating the blitz fire in the neighboring yard.
I don't believe anyone was home at the time of the fire.

Why bring a quint if you aren't going to use the main ladder earlier on?

Glad that no one was home at the time and that there were no injuries to anyone related to this incident, that house was really cooking. Not surprised with the colasp of the building. Thank you to all firefighters everywhere for protecting the citizens of your coverage area.

The USELESSNESS of the USA fire disservice never ceases to amaze me. That fire is generating a MASSIVE amount of energy. His water application is not penetrating it to the burning material, the energy is blowing the water away. Of course, he is helping that to happen by aiming at the flames instead of the BM. They have absolutely No Clue on what to do. You roll up and Deck Gun this within 40 seconds of arrival followed by a second gun or a 2-1/2" line. You can have hydrant water flowing long before the tank runs dry, or you simply turn the gun off.

That helps explain why the fire was so nasty from the get go. Older building with aged wood. So it went up like Kindling from the start.

There was a report of weak water supply and water main break on Walnut St. Not sure if this is true, but what I read. Sad to see, but great coverage as always Bill. Stay cool and hydrated this week!!!

Bring the ladder truck but don't deploy it till the fires nearly out smart. I don't buy the water main break at all what they fixed it while the house was burning, I wish I could of seen the color of the smoke that was one hot fire I'd like to know what was burning in that house other than wood.

At 6 30 in the video you can see the water change from clear to dark brown from the water main break

Does one of the departments all have white helmets? Majority of departments, White helmets denote Chief. If this is the case here, several were operating hand lines instead of running the scene as some Black helmets were just standing there.
